We all know that the SEC is arguably the best coference in the nation, and has some of the best teams around. But despote all that, they dont make the naitonal championship very much. So do you all think this year a SEC team will make the National Championship?

They would probably have to go undefeated to make it. I doubt that will happen though.

Sadly, no. It really is hard to come week in and week out and have to give it your all every game, not having a bye, always playing somebody tough. Even if you do make it through the regular season, you have to play someone tough in the end, whether it be Georgia or Florida from the East or Auburn or LSU from the West, you know that team will give you a run for your money, and could possibly take you out of the title game. So either you have to go undefeated or every other team in the nation has to lose 1 if not 2 games for someone from the SEC to represent in the Nat'l Championship game.

You are right about having to be undefeated.

Ummm, no they won't walk over everyone, no team in SEC history has a cakewalk through division play. Plus you have no clue who your starting QB is.

I think if a team from the SEC goes undefeated again and doesnt make it to the championship, they should boycott BCS, yeah I said it. The SEC is by far the best conference, way better than the Big 12 or Pac-10.

Yeah the conference is too good for it's own good, once you start conference play every week you are looking at a good team. plus you gotta go on the road, all the road games in the SEC are tough, some tougher than others but all are difficult. Then the title game where you have to face the best of the best it's really hard to come out of all that undefeated and that's the only way it would happen.
