It sucks that it was basically just a set up episode. Flying through the gas giant was pretty good and i kinda like the chemistry between Eli and the girl. It was also pretty funny when Rush admitted that he was going through caffiene and nicotene withdrawl but i was getting pretty tired of his yelling at everyone one before he thankfully passed out.

Me too i like the possibilities for the the Eli/Khole relationship but thats up in the becaue of scott. holy cvrap it's working i'm more concerned with the realtionships then anything else. oh wel lthis episode had the most humor.
It got better for me as it went on. At first I thought it was going by too quick, then I remembered they are not doing stand alone episodes anymore with this series. I also wanted to know how they were going to deal with the senators body? were they going to put a bag over the hatches window?
Finally got around to watching it today. I enjoyed it. I really do like the personal relationship aspect of the show. It's definitely a departure from the first two series. That being said, I'm don't know if showing us the personal relationships between the crew of the ship and their family members back on Earth is really necessary.
So caffeine and nicotine are the cause of Rush's problems! LOL Since the beginning I get the feeling he knows more about what's going than he's letting on. I didn't think Eli would be 25; I was expecting him to be something like 19. The show's a soap opera like Ronald Moore's BattleStar Galactica; slow paced, less action, and more tension.

Yeah, he's smart, but not too smart. And he has the ability to think outside the box. A good description might be "Jack of all trades, master of none." He can do a little bit of everything, but doesn't know everything about one subject and nothing else, or everything about everything in the case of McKay.

I suspect that McKay had Aspergers. I'm hoping that Eli will stay sort of an "everyman" for the show, maybe a little clumsy but not obnoxious. Rush is getting there though; I just hope he doesn't get too petty, cowardly, or narcissistic.

I liked it. The stones are really going to confuse things on the ship, the person from the SGC could pretend to still be the person on the ship and try to get some clandestine information. Especially since it sounds like they want the head military guy demoted. Very interesting to watch this play out.
