Stargate Atlantis season 3 episode discussion "Tao Of Rodney"
Spoiler Warning !!!
At the end, when he got the answer, I said to my sweetie, the other Ascended probably saw that he was about to ascend and were like "Oh, no, we don't want him" and sent him the answer of how to save himself :)xaos
Lol. That's exactly what I was thinking too :P. They probably thought:
"Oh noes! He'll be bugging us everytime he discovers something new about Physics!"
Lol. Anyway it was a pretty neat episode. For a minute I thought they were gonna kill off Zelenka:o. That would have been the last straw for me. Especially after what happened to Grodin . Lots of great comedy though and I thought it was nice the way Rodney went round "making his peace" with everybody :). Only wish we had got to see the scene where all the bad guys' guns jammed.
After Rodney hugged Ronon and said "I just healed them", my bf and I were both "Awwwww". Such an incredibly sweet moment, right up there with when Teal'c was trying to say goodbye to Ancient knowledge-loaded O'Neill in Lost City and O'Neill just reached over and touched him. Very un-selfconscious, and an awesome display of how much the characters care about each other.xaos

i don't think they will ever kill zelenka off, at least i hope not. since my best friend had seen it first and wasn't dying i knew the episode was safe since zelenka's our fave as well. (and funnily enough she loved grodin and pouted for weeks after that episode...) rodney would have to make his peace, i mean he makes a lot of people mad on a daily basis *snickers* but yeah the ancients did not want to have to deal with rodney, i would almost feel sorry for them if they had to, if i didn't think they that they are such jerks. i mean they start problems and /never/ fix them.it seems like atlantis would have some kind room just for making zpms with a few instructions, maybe. :roll:mgmeekYeah there mush be one of those, but they still this they should start trading with farmers instead of searching the cith of a room like you said. Thats the one think I don't like about Atlantis.
This episode was great until the end. I thought the way Rodney cycled through his emotions and finally came to grips with his fate was fantastic, but the end, when he and Elizabeth were going back-and-forth about the "We love you" comment spoiled it for me. I just hoped to see more of a "change" from Rodney than that, not the "Oooh, I almost ascended? Wow...ah, I don't care..." I don't mean I want to see him go all spiritual or anything, but I'd like to have seen (or hope to see) him deal with this a little bit more in future episodes (and it really makes me wonder about how Sunday is going to go down).

Best line of the episode: "Hey, we should be partners...you can be my sidekick. It'll be like Batman and Ronon." "You keep eating like that and it'll be more like Fatman."

Zelenka is the only person that could even remotely keep Rodney's ego in check, aside from Carter. Although, now that I think of it, that cadet at the Air Force Academy that Carter took an interest in would really strike a blow to his ego. That would make for a darn good episode.
