It has to be the FN P90. Has awesome looks but it is also extremely functional. Also has better penetration than a 9mm round and a standard 50rd clip on top instead of a clip that extends a foot down that could get snagged on something at the wrong time.
They'll have to do something to balance the zat with the other weapons.
I remember in one episode (I think it was Exodus) Jack got shot with a zat but was still able to get back up and kill the Jaffa who shot him. So my guess is that a "stun" hit will just deplete their health a little.
maybe the zat will affect different characters differently. jackson the most, teal'c the least. anything from a split second stun to a 3 second stun. just a thought
They could just make it horribly inaccurate from far to medium distances and maybe change it from 2 shot kill to like 3 shoot kill within 10sec or something. I know thats not like the series but id rather have some things altered for gameplay sake.
I don't see why they wouldn't have the Zat gun the same as from the show, I mean if we are versing Jaffa foot soldiers there should be that many that the Zat gun would be a weakness to the player, and when we verse Anubis' super soldiers they wouldn't be affected at all. And multiplayer shouldn't be any different. It's like a rocket launcher, if might be a n00b weapon (in any game) but you can stop someone with it.
i realy like the P90 it is a brilliant gun, accurate, deadly and can go up against the staff weapons. i like the modified TER weapon which jack uses to kill the super soldier in death knell
the p-90 is a combination of 2 real army guns, i dont think the army would use them cos according to a magazine i read, the magazines of the gun are prone to randomly exploding.
i cant find the magazine so i cant re read what it sais. but i think it just sed that they exploded every so often. dont think they were big explosions tho.

Well if you become a tanker then you could very well get that gun. Im pretty sure that tank crews are often given the P90 because it is soo small but also powerful enough to go against troops that are close since obviously they can use their bigger guns like the main cannon and the 50cal for farther targets. Ive also havent heard of them ever exploding and i think that are are even less prone to jamming than the m16 even though the bullet does a 90 degree turn while in the mag.
I would say the p 90 becuase it is small making it ideal for covert ops.Also it is as enterchangeable as an m 16. U could attach laser sight flashlight cahnge the the color scheme even use expolsive rounds if u really are wanting to for some reason.
The M16 might be replaced with the XM8 (dubbed M 8). It's made by heckler and koch, was funded by the US army and is being evalated for standard issue.
