I was watching the epissodes "Heroes" (the one where jannet dies), and god they are sad. Or is that just me?
One of the most tear-jearking episodes. I loved the action parts but was sad that Janet died. I never knew the union had a hall of fame.deshields538
Indeed it does, right here on the forums, the stiky topic that says: The Best Stargate SG-1 Episodes of All Time, can be found at the link or here: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/unions/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=24417591&union_id=1637

Very sad moment indeedI was watching the epissodes "Heroes" (the one where jannet dies), and god they are sad. Or is that just me?

Both parts to Heroes were very, very good as far as I was concerned. The part that really just destroyed any semblance of "manliness" when I was watching this episode was when Bregman watched Daniel's film and saw Frasier blown back by the staff blast. I mean, from a filmography standpoint the subtleties in that entire sequence were just incredible. For gosh sakes, when Daniel turned the camera on Janet after she was hit, it was obvious she was dead but her eyes were still open, just like they should be. It was incredibly surreal, and from a viewer's standpoint, it made the whole thing move from just a mild shock and sad to gut-wrenchingly devastating. I've denied it before, but I'll admit it now...I shed tears. It was impossible not to.Â
Speaking of subtleties, did anyone else make note the planet designation was P3X-666? Somehow, I think the connotation associated with that number was a specific reason why it was used on the planet designation.
i watched the don s davis interview a couple of days ago and found out that sci fi ordered the sg1 writers and mgm  to kill of a character in season 7 thats why they had to kill faiser. i hate sci fi even more now  mjk1
AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I HATE YOU SCI-FI!
AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Edit: Sorry. That is just how I feel about Sci-fi at the moment.

What connotation? Mark of the beast? 666 doesn't mean death or end of the world or any of that crap most people think. Anyone who's read the bible knows it just refers to the beast and his mark. Anywhoo, I never denied it, and never have, when the scenes made me cry. Just like in king kong, I believe that if a movie or tv show is that strong enough with emotion, it is a very well done piece of work.

I know darn good and well what it means, and there are some that think it's not even right for the mark of the Beast, but that's not the point. You made my point for me when you said "any of that crap most people think." Most people, incorrect though the assumption may be, associate that number with death, doom and destruction. Peter DeLuise, Robert Cooper and the guys writing this stuff are too smart to have done that by accident. Its another one of those little subtle touches in Stargate that makes the whole show so endearing and captivating. Oh, and by the way, it is associated with death in the Bible, or did you forget what happens to those who refuse to take the mark?
I don't generally like to admit when something makes me cry because if my wife hears about it then I'll never hear the END of it. She's like that, and I'm sorry but I've no desire to be picked on mercilessly for an extended period of time.Â
Tell us somthing we don't know.shockwave04
Hmmm, ok, one of my other favorite shows is the muppet show!
