I did post a message on the homepage but I don't think it worked. Probably better this way. It was just me swearing at JoWood and Perception. Anyway, the jist of it was that they should just stop being childish-->make the game-->Get lots of money-->roll around in it.
I just can't see this game getting done and getting put out. I've been waiting for it to come out ever since I first saw it on GameSpot. But since JoWood and Perception just want to be a pain in the butt and don't want to work together it's pissing me off. I wish someone else could get all the rights and everything and just make the game and be done with both JoWood and Perception. That way we can have battles with the jaffa and not have to watch the court battles with JoWood and Perception.
ye, take license from perception and jowood, give it Sony or EA or sum1, see what they can do. (im serious,lol)afoligno72
I think it would be doubtful that they would give it to Sony and EA is already the distributor as far as i know but doesnt really do anything with the development. Alot fans will be very upset if it is left in pergatory while companies cry "rights" and just want money.
Ok look at it like this,the game is basicly done{that is production programing and what not}that is if the release date was supose to the 14th of this month,so if the game is finished and the companie is doing ok,or,bad,witch i dont thnk there doing bad because as far as i know nieghbors from hell got decent reviews,and gothic is a fairly well known game,that said if they have to they could sell the game to another companie.......there in lies the problem,if they sell it to another companie the new companie mite revamp the whole game{worst scenario besides it not releaseing it at all}the game has to be pretty much done and programed by now,or the release date would not have so close to this date.so the worst were probably looking at is a delay{hopefully}i personally dont care if it comes out tommorow or 4 months from now dont rush it let them take there time and make the game good,....nay,....awsome.
I asked GameSpot what the hell is going on with the game. And this is what Matt Rorie said :
I don't know anything about it more than what's in the article, but I think the short answer would be: nothing good. If it's in the hands of the developer, working without publisher support, then they'll only be able to go on so long before they run out of money (assuming they're of the normal variety of developer, that requires regular infusions of cash to keep their doors open while making a game). Even if they do wind up completing the game themselves, then presumably they'll have to find some way to get JoWood their seven million dollars back before they can actually release it. Whether another publisher picks up the tab, or JoWood is correct and actually controls the rights to the game, I'd say the situation is pretty screwed up.
Note that Perception's web page has been updated with some recent fan previews since the older press releases. So I guess it is still in development.
WOW...... Well in order to get $7M they would have to sell about 140,000 at $50.00 a pop. I would imagine that the game will sell far more than that since it will be for PC, Xbox, and PS2 and people may very well buy copies for 2 or 3 systems. With a series as well known as StarGate they could sell a million copies which would mean $50M which of course some would go to pretty much everyone involved from the devs to the actors but still theres alot of money to be made.

I really wouldn't want bungie to make it. For a few reasons. 1: Bungie is owned by Microsoft, so if they wanted it could be a X-Box only (and maybe PC) game. They might not let it out for the PS2 (for me that would suck, because I don't like computer games and I don't own an X-Box). 2: They might make it too much like Halo (I heard it's a fast moving, fast action game. The Alliance really shouldn't be like that).
But I guess at this point I really don't care who makes it as long as it gets out.

But I was actually thinking one day that a Stargate game with the Halo 2 engine would be pretty good. I like the feel of Halo 2 over many other games, but it really needs to be on all platforms as it wouldn't be as popular as Halo to make all those sales.
I believe JoWood said that Perception was not making the game to the quality that they should have and didnt want to disappoint the fans with something unworthy but Perception says that they did it because of a legal reason that i cant recall now.
