Unfourtantly, I believe that SG-1 is doing the stereotypical thing. Taking a main character, and replacing them with another character. Mitchell isn't bad, he isn't totally an O'Neil.
As for Mitchell being the leader of SG-1... I definatly say no. It's really hard to say who should be the leader. Sam has become more of a scientist, Danial is an archaeologist, and Teal'c is still bound to the Jaffa council. But Teal'c and Danial couldn't become leaders because their not part of the Airforce. I believe that right now, there should be no leader. O'Neil was the SG-1 leader. He has/had leader aspects. Mitchell doesn't have leader aspects. Mitchell is weaker than O'Neil, as a leader.
Sarge, I know you believe that Mitchell is a clone of O'Neil, but I don't think so. Mitchell is more of a kid, while O'Neil is more of an adult. Not that Mitchell is a kid, and O'Neil is an adult, but O'Neil has more experiance in everthing, while Mitchell is more of a newbie.
