So what do you think? Did Three Days Grace rip-off The Suicide Machines? Or was it merely a coincidence?

Hmmm....definitely sounds like there was some borrowing going on. :lol: 3 Days Grace changed it up a bit, but not enough. :P 

I agree with both of you. Not enough change in the riff to differentiate it from the other song. Whether Three Days Grace realised that they were stealing the riff or it was just coincidence I would really like to know:P

I'm generally soemwhat lenient when it comes to judging ripoffs or not, but that's one of the most blatant ripoffs ever. I know some more similar songs, just ask me.

Actually, a crapload of metalcore bands rip off other bands and s t y l e s of other bands. Atreyu seems like they want to desperetly be In Flames and A7X ripped off Iron Maiden and Death, and possibly Faith No More.
