The title pretty much speaks for itself. If you could have the singing voice of a musician from any genre, who would it be? It's a pretty tough call for me, I have a few different picks.

Maynard James Keenan (Tool/A Perfect Circle): One of the things that makes Maynard such a good singer is that he can sing at several different dynamic levels. He has a light, gentle voice when he sings quitely (like the beginning of Opiate), but when he gets loud, he can hold a scream for quite a while (towards the end of that same song).

Layne Staley (Alice In Chains): For pretty much the same reasons as Maynard Keenan. He has a great harmonic voice when he sings more quitely, but his voice can get pretty powerful when he sings loudly.

Ian Gillan (Deep Purple/Black Sabbath): Gillan has one of the biggest vocal ranges in rock from what I've heard; He can sing at a fairly low pitch but can also go brutally high with his voice in some songs (listen to Child In Time).

How about you guys?

Awesome topic.

I think I'll go with Freddie Mercury. I would never stop singing. :P

Great topic, truly fantastic.

Comes with a tough choice, but I'll go with Guardian's main vocal, Jamie Rowe.

There's a few I'd like, but if it came down to just one, ultimately, it'd be Bowie

Either Brian Johnson of AC/DC or more likely Joel O'Keeffe from Airbourne. I just love their style of singing voice.

I'd also add Rob Halford (Judas Priest) and Ronnie James Dio (Rainbow/Dio - R.I.P.) to my choices. Two of the most legendary singers in metal history.

Jon Bon Jovi, imagine singing his song while driving (raiding) a classic muscle car would be a dream.

Bon Jovi sucks... Anyways, I would have Maynard's voice, or Eddie Vedder's.

The voice of the Rise Against leader singer :P

Although my voice already does pretty close to his voice.

Can't decide between Bruce Springsteen, Jim Kerr, Oleg Kvasha, Andrea Bocelli, or the lead singer of 30 seconds to mars Jared Leto.

I know, wierd mix.

I'd have to say Joey Ramone, though that would sound weird coming from me, lol. Dave Mustaine, Tom Delonge, and Kurt Cobain are some other people who I'd consider.

I would pick Benjamin Burnley's(Breaking Benjamin) voice or Ronnie Winter's(The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus).

Ben is awesome I got all his albums.

Ronnie is also awesome but he's not as awesome as Benjamin Burney.

still I'm a big fan of both of them.
