http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xv2Vd5U2M7c

Album hits stores May 4th.

It doesn't sound different, but at least it's something new.

Release date for UK people and other info:

GODSMACK, the Boston-based quartet led into action by vocalist Sully Erna, will have latest studio album 'The Oracle' released through Spinefarm Records UK on June 28th.

Produced by Dave Fortman (Mudvayne, Evanescence, Slipknot, etc.) and featuring tracks such as 'Saints And Sinners', 'Devil's Swing' & 'Good Day To Die', this is the follow-up to 2006's 'Godsmack IV', a Number One debut on the US Billboard charts, plus the Greatest Hits package 'Good Times, Bad Times… Ten Years Of Godsmack', issued back in 2007.

'Cryin' Like A **** the lead track from 'The Oracle', has just become the band's 18th Top 10 hit at Active Rock radio in the US, a feat never before achieved!

Voted 'Best Band' at last year's 'Crüe Fest 2' extravaganza, Godsmack have lined up a rigorous live schedule for 2010, including a headline spot at the Rock On The Range festival to be held in Columbus, Ohio on May 22nd & 23rd – an event that also features Rob Zombie, Limp Bizkit & Three Days Grace. Other US festival appearances will follow.

To date, the band have sold in excess of 15 million albums worldwide, received 4 platinum awards, plus three Grammy nominations.Altsounds

First I'd like to say... Sweet Union ! Thanks for the open enrollment. That banner is gorgeous...

Now... Godsmack.

Def, one of my all time fav. bands. Love every single thing they do. I am ridiculously excited for this...

From Billboards.com -

As his bandmates busy themselves with the side band Another Animal, Godsmack frontman Sully Erna is plotting his first solo album, which he hopes to begin recording in the spring.

"It's gonna be nothing like rock music," Erna tells Billboard.com. "It's gonna be very Native American tribal rhythms mixed with these Middle Eastern bluesy kind of vocals. This is a project to get a different kind of music out of me that I feel is inside me. .. and not for any expectations about how big the hit may be or if it's gonna make it on the radio."

Erna plans to work with singer Lisa Guyer, who was featured on the "Godsmack IV" track "Hollow," as well as a number of other musicians.

"I'm not setting any time limits on it," Erna says. "We're kind of baby stages in the writing process. But it'll be good. It'll be fun, and it's gonna be different. I don't know if it'll be something the real hard rockers out there dig, but anybody who enjoyed the acoustic EP or 'Voodoo' or 'Serenity' I think will enjoy this stuff 'cause it's very cool and hypnotic and kind of exotic."

Gonna be epic...

More songs can be found here.  Scroll down to the part where it says Sneak Peak.

It all sounds like their other stuff.
