I would have problems coming up with my top ten favorite bands, but I don't think I could come up with a top ten favorite songs. "Orchestra of Wolves" by Gallows would definately be one of them though.

My favorites songs change quite freqently anyways, depending on my mood and what I had been listening to at the time.

Voicing your opinion is perfectly fine, but when it gets to the point where you use statements like "At least I don't listen to only what's popular" I personally feel that you are crossing the line. 

It would have been so much easier to just say "I don't like those bands".

I thought that a person in a union called Music is Life would have explored more music and like more than what is popular at this time, but maybe I'm expecting too much. Anyway, I did say that I don't like most of the bands he listens to before and he will probably dislike most of the bands I listen to, so I don't see what's the problem.

I'm sorry if I seemed ass-y but I attend a school where half of it is made up of rap junkies, a quarter goth/emo screamo fans, and another quarter of people who think they are too cool for music. I don't know anyone who listens to the same music I do which means I have to be really open to everyone else's music tastes. I just get a little annoyed when someone says that the music someone else listens to is "horrible". :P

I once had a teacher who was letting us play our iPods on her computer, and when it was my turn I played something metal (can't quite remember what it was, it might have been something by Children of Bodom) and when it started to get heavy she turned it off saying that it was "too violent for school". I do agree that a lot people are narrow minded about music and they flock to whatever is popular often times. :P

I find it hard to believe that I only listen to whats popular. My friends and all the people around me have never heard 80% of the music I listen to. Even if it was popular it shouldn`t matter, as long as you like it. 

And of course all the posts in this union don`t have to be humorous. They also don`t have to blatantly offend people either.

I like Slipknot, but they aren't heavy at all.

I thought that too until I started listening to the more extreme types of metal.

 It's true. They're crazy and unpredictable, but there is many many more bands that are heavier.
