I would say yeah it is for the most part.

Sure it made some obvious passes at God of War and Devil May Cry but what do you expect from a game based on a movie? They had to try and make the game passable so they could either try and make a **** game by deadline or "cut corners" creatively by not just drawing inspiration but taking directly from 2 of the most successful action/adventure games. Rip-off...a strong term for something that really didn't do that well nor make nearly enough rips to be deemed something so harsh.
speaking of which, did u see the movie gmg?evanescfan
Thought about it and decided against it. The clips/reviews were enough for me.
~I'll see it on DVD but I won't pay top dollar for a theatre viewing

well at least u get to see it..as long as your no ghost rider hardcore fan, u'll love this movieaccording to all of you apparently but i havent played Ghost Rider or seen it yet we dont have a theatre near by heresaxy56you're kidding! how do u get to see the movies?
Still, I don't think it's a rip-off.. it just follows the same direction.SoulxxxI agree. A lot of people kept saying we were just a DMC ripoff...so I feel for the Ghost Rider Developers now that all the reviews are dinging them for having similar elements in thier game. I am sure they did, like all developers do, borrow from gow....but I think that is cool. I haven't played the game yet, but I am going to try and check it out sometime. cory

i can only say this: ~god of war was clearly influenced by "Barbie Horse Rider" ~"Ghost Rider" has a horse in the story in conclusion they are the same gameetrnalconundrum
Well said..I find no fault in this logic.Â

LULZ MAX amirite?I wouldn't know cause I have not even played the ghost rider game....not seen the movie either... looks pretty lame because they put in such a retarded actor for that part.... i would hope you all agree to thisTriPPZzi do not!! nic cage rules!!!
Actually the motorcycle part of the game, kind of reminds me a cross between Twisted Metal and Road Rash. Dusty114Road Rash? Like for Sega Genesis? That game owns! I used to play it every day with my friends until I got a Dreamcast. The best party game before 3D graphics =D ~ Also, as a more on-topic note. I think that it is kind of a rip-off, but there isn't much you can do about it, being an awful movie title and all, so its acceptable to me. If there's any game that's a ripoff of GoW, I think it would probably be the evil section of PoP two thrones. ~ For Cage, I think he's a pretty good actor too. Now, I'm not a particularly big fan of his, but I think he generally does a good job. Its not that I don't think he's good, just that I don't particularly like his style. Some things he was good in would be National Treasure and The Rock, those are probably my two favorites of his. Windtalkers (I think that's what it was called) was pretty good too. ~As an off-topic note, I'm kind of confused about the leveling up system for Gamespot. Does it only update overnight or what? Because today I've made a decent amount of posts and wrote a review and got a grand total of 0.00% of a level, so I'm thinking it's not an up-to-the-minute type of system?
Ghost Rider was not that good of a movie, not due to Nicholas Cage, but more so to the way the movie turned out, Nicholas Cage was alright as Ghost Rider. I think the movie could have been better if it would have focused more on the comics of Marvel. As for the game, I do think they could have gone their own way about Ghost Rider instead using aspects from God of War and Devil May Cry towards their game.
