In GoW II, during the seventh challenge, is there any way to not wake up the centaur? No matter what I do, he always wakes up and will hit me with a rock. Sometimes I'm just against him, after clearing out all the other guys, but he still hits me with a rock even though I evade. Any tips on how to beat him and maybe not wake him up?

~If you have maxed out Blade of Olympus, each attack shoots a laser. I don't know if this works without waking him up, but if you roll/use the fleece, you should be able to kill him from range.

Any creature knocked into the beast or you getting too close will wake it up.  So Golde Fleece counters (Argo's Revenge) is risky.  The strategy for approaching him varies but I will suggest to you how to handle him:

-Have lvl3 Barbarian Hammer

-Get close to him FAST and activate RotT as you get behind him

-Use triangle hits (triangle, triangle combo then L1+trianlge *Might of the King) then repeat)..10 hits should do it

-Immediately activate the mini-game when the opportunity is present (you should have him weakened before it begins its spin

-Be sure to turn of RotT as the mini-game activates *waste*

-PROFIT

~PROTIP: That isn't a centaur..that is the "Titan Minotaur"

I used Inferno's strategy and got a "God" ranking on it. The Golden Fleece counters helped TONS with the rock throws. Haven't tried your way yet, Creeper, but I'll try it out later. Got an overall Titan ranking for all 7 challenges, so I'm happy.

Yay, I was helpful! But I think Creeper's strategy would get you an easier Titan than mine, though thanks for using it. He's like 1000x more pro than I am.

Tell me?  No.  You mentioned it..I had already been employing this portion of the strategy.  The GameFAQs posters suggested the skeleton reserving part to me..I just never listened to them about that until out of nowhere the High Priests started doing what they were suppossed to..summoning Cyclops.  Did you ever get around to abusing the 2nd Titan Minotaur as I had described you could? (using the entrance hallway to force it into its starting fetal position for a second run of the strategy we share with many other ELITES).

Indeed.  Knowing the method we share and the 'forced restart' exploit for the 2nd Minotaur encounter (I keep forgetting to test it on the 1st one..though it isn't really necessary) makes it childs play.  If only I could get that Minotaur to ONLY use it's floor pound attack.  I hate wasting magic but wasting time annoys me more.

~I think it is funny that not only did the old "Have Artemis equiped" during any kill with Magic *aside from gaze related deaths* to see the "Mutilation" animation on your favorites spells..it was always good times when using Zeus Fury to decapitate Minotaurs..but in GoWII they not only let it stay..they gave it full recognition.  You can use Poseidon's Rage (Urn of Poseidon - NOTE: The Urn makes the spells 5 times stronger then it is at the start of the game in non-Bonus Play runthroughs!) to kill a horde *feasting your eyes on multiple unique death animations* while getting the bonus associated with the "Mutilation" descriptor for Blade of Olympus kills..that's right..just have Blade of Olympus selected as your weapon as you do spells to watch the killing animations of the enemies by the BoO on any spell (aside from Euryale's Head of course).  It's a lol-cow like you wouldn't believe.  It makes Tyhpon's Bane feel so brutal..Harpies "pop" violently, Minotaurs loose their heads, Fate Sentries split into pieces, etc.  Good times for simply getting some lulz

NOTE: I hadn't noticed before that Poseidon's Rage and Cronos Rage just don't seem to EVER kill Cursed Remains (skeletons).. the Blade of Olympus also has a hard time doing it...while the Hammer (as usual) rapes no matter what you are.  If I had a turbo controller I'd have used 9 of them in the AotF with Cronos Rage lvl3..too bad this is not the case

Some cool sounding strategies here, although, GMG, what do those turbo controllers actually do anyway?

I've never used one myself (waste of money for me) but the idea is to make it possible to hit a button (On/Off) to make it where holding a button makes the controller MASH the command at maximum speed.  So I could have spammed Cronos Rage instead of Prometheus' Torment (making it go faster)
