To be honest, I don't know how this will be a game, so I'll have to wait for 3lon to tell me more.

Anyway, as far as things I have been listening to lately, that I have already been listening to forever, I've taken quite a liking to the Sweeney Todd soundtrack.

I've been listening to Bullet for my Valentine a little too much lately myself...

I've heard many different opinions on Sweeney Todd, I tend to hate musicals in their entirety, and I hear the film has about 3 scenes without music/singing. This put me off the film, is it true?

Yes, it is a musical, with a small amount of straight lines, however it is quite good. The songs are all quite interesting and well done. Plus there is a nice story there, and plenty of gore. Besides, it has Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman(I think, I may have said the wrong first name).

Perfect, both of you get the idea of the game. If you are listening to one song, post the artist and name.

One Love- Nas

l prefer old school rap than new rap *Souljaboy, Lil wayne, 50cent, etc*.

So, as far as I understand it's about posting names of the songs one listens to in at least slightly obsessive mode at the time? If so, then in my case it's currently Motorhead, The Game.

BTW, the video made to this song would be perfect for the official video of TUGOWU. If someone hasn't seen it - it's linked in my signature.

Good Man. Old School Rap is where its at. Jump Around best song EVAR. can't help but smile, feel good and rap along with it. Accompanied by OTT arm movements to the opening

I don't like rap in general, but old school rap I can sometimes like. Also, even though I generally hate rap, I love P.O.D.'s rap. Original Roots in Stereo.

Mostly 'angry stuff' right now.

Turmion Katilot still gets the longest listening hours of the day. I have a thing for 2 particular songs of a band called "Spineshank". ("Synthetic" and "New Disease") Been listening to those for a few years and they never really grow old as I actually apply (not too loosely suprisingly) to me.

At night it's been 'bitter' sort of angry songs or just hard rock/metal. Though I tend to swing for 'love' or even 'sad' music when heading to sleep. When especially tired, I cannot easily fall asleep with the noise lately, so I sleep to the sound of bats/birds outside the window...just kidding...those pieces of trash are what distract from sleep. The fan and a quiet night is what I need.

~I just haven't been in the mood for any relaxing oldies or 'love' songs. It's likely do to increasingly strained ties to a very close friend who I'll be having 'serious discussions' with at his graduation party

A Gunshot to the Head of Trepadation - Trivium

To go on from what Elon/Addam said, One Love isn't really an Old school song, definitely from an old school rapper...no doubt about that.

I can't stand new rap either really, I almost hate having to admit that I like rap to most people, as their immediate association is crap like Solja Boy.

LOLOLOL at mention of embarissingly terrible new rap. I may not exactly love old rap, but I have respect for a few of the bunch. It's hard to hate everything about a genre. Even country has a select few I can listen to.

~I've got a thing for listening to "Mirror's Paradise" right now. It's a bit rough and a little too hard often enough due to the singing..but I've grown to like it since I read the lyrics..I can barely understand what is being said in regular songs (I was never good at taking in the lyrics) let alone Metal >_>

SRSLY GMG, never listen to As I Lay Dying. They are impossible to understand. Usually the only lyrics I get are when they sing (very rare, usually only in the background) and when they say the songs name. Even that takes time.

Changes- Tupac

His songs have an amazing beat and flow, but most importantly, an inspirational message. You can tell he has put deep thought when creating his lyrics because it explains the issues revolving around the 90s which I respect a lot. Tupac, one of the greatest rapper in history, will always be emembered by his fans including me.

Elonn, if you don't mind saying, how old are you? For some reason I had Tupac down as being before your time.

Or is it a case of the classics never go out of style?

(GoW quote/reference and using class and style in the same sentence, good eh?)

Technically there are a lot of bands before 'my time' that I enjoy. I wouldn't doubt others having similiar feelings to 'classics'

Tupac died in 1995, did he not? Indeed the classics don't go out of style.

What part of GoW is that reference from? I can't recall anything.

When choosing the costumes in GoWII, if memory serves.

I know that liking music older than yourself is nothing unusual, just not seen it applied to the excellent Tupac though.

14 my good friend. I CAN NOT stand today's rap/hip-hop genre of music. All they talk about it *stereotypically* girls, money, cars, etc.

It is in fact a strong painkiller, often prescribed for dental pain in particular that associated withwisdom teeth. Never tried it myself.

Too much to name. As some of you may know and others may not, music makes up about 114% of my life. If there's ever something specific I'm listening to I can tell you. I have recently been listening to the band Falconer, albums Falconer and Northwind.

That raises an interesting question. If you had to pick one medium, games or music, and never go back, which would it be?

Also, My Hatred-Trivium.

I haven't actually listened to them much lately, but a really great band from the past is Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show(mostly just know as Dr. Hook). It is a really good band that had Shel Silverstein as their main writer early on, and has a great mix of hilarious and touching music. If looking for a specific album, I recommend Sloppy Seconds as their best that I have heard.

Dr Hook fan eh Alucard? Ever seen Kingdom Hospital?

I have heard the song "thats not my name" by the ting tings (i think) a lot lately. Infuriatingly catchy, you think you don't like it but are singing it later on in the day.

Noy by choice I must add every time I put the radio on its on. Reminds me of a line from a song that went something like,

Every time I turn on the radio I hear the same five songs, fifteen times a day, for three months.

I tried to try out Blue Oyster Cult a bit, but my music download site and program weren't working with most of the songs, which is a pain, but oh well. I'll probably continue listening to Sweeney Todd for a bit, Journey, then go back to Dr. Hook sometime soon.

Ah, I remember downloading a few songs off that site before.

Be One - Killswitch Enage
I can finally listen to them again, it was weird claiming them as my 'favourite band' after not listening to them for so long (though this was due to over-listening in the first place).

They just aren't.

Haven't you heard the legend of the haunted GS board?

*holds flashlight to chin for spooky effect*

Where unexpected threads go bumb in the night?

Some say mods patrol the area liek homicidal wraiths. Barely seen but when they attack they leave no survivors.

How anyone knows this is a mystery. Perhaps here the dead talk.

I have recently discovered that this "thinking engine" device with which I am communicating with you chaps, via series of tubes, is capable of find and playing music. Quite how I am unsure but it has made my gramaphone redundant.

this very day I have used it to listen to the musical stylings of Chip the Ripper. Most entertaining it was.
