TUGOWU Abbreviations

I've noticed that i'm not the only one who doesn't understand all the terms for God of War. So i created this topic (which will hopefully be stickied) for the terms and their names. The way it will work is that we'll all add in terms and each time new terms are added, the person adding will copy the previuos terms into his new post. This is similar to the 3 word story game where each person copied the story into their post and added three new words. Then once all the terms have been amassed i will or hopefully one of the officers will edit this post and add in all the terms. Let me begin:

KURO: I think I know them all at this point, but I'm certain I won't remember all of them. I"ll add a bunch right now.

WEAPONS: 

BoC: Blades of Chaos

BoA: Blade of Artemis 

AB: Athena's Blades

BH: Barbarian Hammer

SoD: Spear of Destiny

BoO: Blade of Olympus 

GoZ: Gauntlet of Zeus

ATTACKS: 

Common to all weapons, s = square attack, t = triangle attack

SoD

PS: Piercing Shards (SoD Attack)

AS: Altering Slash

DS: Deadly Slash

UR: Unfortunate Remains

Athena's Blades (some moves are common to both AB and the BoC)

PoP: Plume of Prometheus (AB Attack)

Spirit: Spirit of Hercules aka Super Plume

Valour: Valour of Hercules

OH: Orion's Harpoon (AB 'Attack')

altOH:alternate Orions Harpoon

Barbarian Hammer

MotK: Might of the King

CD: Crushing Defeat

LoS: Legion of Souls

Blade of Olympus

DR:  Divine Retribution

DA:  Divine Absolution

DS:  Divine Sacrifice

Magic:

EH: Euryale's Head

GR: Gorgon Rage

GS: Gorgon Stare

GF: Gorgon Flash

TB: Typhon's Bane

CWB:Charged Wind Blast

LV: Lethal Vortex

TS: Titan Storm

AQ: Atlas Quake

CR: Cronos' Rage 

PR: Poseidon's Rage

ZF: Zeus' Fury

AoH: Army of Hades

CW: Charon's Wrath

ENEMIES:

TM- Titan Minotaur

OTHER:

GK- General Kratos

NUR- No Upgrade Run

TM- Titan Mode  (context)

AotF- Arena of the Fates *possible confusion with Amulet of the Fates, I suggest using the term Amulet to avoid confusion*

Last EDIT by MrCC. A spot of formatting and a few additions. Should we include the button presses for each move, I'm going to say no but if anyone considers it essential they can add them. I won't be adding GoWI terms right now. They are not fresh in my mind or memory.

EDIT:1-8-09 Alucard_rules, I added a the Gauntlet of Zeus, and a few magics that weren't there before, didn't add Efreet because I forgot the full name of the spell, if it isn't just Efreet, and I didn't add Light of Dawn for the same reason, and I sincerely doubt anyone will want to talk about it.  It sucks.

Don't want to overstep the line of my officerly powers. Altering peoples post tends to offend so I find it best to ask.

I think slight alterations in presentation may help,

e.g BoO = Blade of Olympus

      DR   = Divine Retribution

      MotK  = Might of the King

Right, I sort of wasn't paying enough attention and only got the part about adding posts. I added most of the GoWII ones I could remember, but there are certainly some missing. I will refrain from adding anymore and participate in the game from this point forwards.

ER- Endurance Run (Fight before Clotho)

GQ- Gorgon Queen (Enemy. This isn't a really common abbreviation, but is seen occasionally.)

HM- Hades Minotaur (I may have just made that up now. Don't recall if it's actually used or not.) 

I've got more pressing work to do for TUGOWU revolving around Tactics/Tips and Glitch testing for AKheon's FAQ(s). Thus I leave this thread to the rest of you.

DarkLord: Kuro noted he did the edit work. I wouldn't expect that you would mind in this case.

NOTE: I'd prefer Officer edits like that denote who did it but it isn't required. We've still got 'Rules' to discuss just as I've got a Mod talk to prep for still. *hardly as fun as it sounds*

Lvl1 Blades have both Spirit and Valour enders, You just have to get there the long way.

But this is really going to help me understand all of the abreviations you guys have.

But who wants to use triangle out of a roll when you can do AW instead RITE GUISE?

Oh there's another one for the list- AW= Athena's Wrath (Triangle out of roll with blades).

It's THE BEST AND MOST USEFULEST ATTACK EVER.

Do you really not know what a NUR is by now? It's in the first post of this thread if you still need to know.

A speedrun is just what it says- clearing the game as quickly as possible.

yes you have convinced me to do my Titan mode run first, and after that I will try to do God mode in GoW1. then try a NUR in GoW1.
