~I'm on Theseus during my third run-through (Normal Mode then God Mode NUR, now Titan Mode)InfernoPirate
Everyone loves Theseus.
OK, started GoW2 this weekend as promised. Im at The Temple of Euryale right now. I had a rought time with Theasus.. and I do mean ROUGH.. smh.. i died quiet a few times before I finally got the hang of it and beat his buuhhind.. LOL I ran thru the Barbarian King rather quickly.. (for me).. on the second try I beat him down with lots of health left (which you will all realize.. im usually damn near dead most of the time.. LMAO) I was quiet proud of myslef.
So.. anyway.. I've made it to the Temple and saved right outside.. and had to take a break to make my sister some CD's for my nephews bday party.. I'll be sure to hit that joystick when I get home for some more game play.. ;)

So you'll soon be fighting the Cerberus mini-boss and Euryale. Should prove interesting..remember that in GoWII.there are 4 hidden urns to locate inside chests in the main game. 2 unlocked during CotT.
~You are quite near one of them

More hidden stuff huh.. LOL.. I'll have to keep my eye out for secret spots.. tryna keep up with the fighting and not dying is my ultimate goal right now.. LMAO..
So have you continued from where you left off?
~More importantly..have you been practicing with the weapon the elites? (Barbarian Hammer)
NOTE: If you question the Hammer..then I shall just have to once again discuss what makes it the greatest sub-weapon for seasoned and new players.

In a nutshell say you? Alright:
-It PWNS
~That sums it up pretty quickly
---Until you reach Titan Mode and/or start a NUR/NUR+ in GoWII there is little reason to go into much detail..just use triangle hits and exploit the shockwave by using it through the environement so you stay safe from enemy attacks while dishing out damageÂ

 Ok then....
On another note.. I played some more last night, fought the two cyclops with riders, which surprisingly I did in the matter of seconds, no problems with them.. WHOOT go me!! *doin the happy dance* and Saved at the River of Blood before heading to bed, I didnt play long as you can see; it was around midnight and I had to work today.. but I needed to get some play time in.

Now you are especially close to where an Urn lies..but you cannot obtain it without the fleece....
~Also the Cerberus mini-boss is quite close..at the circular platforms on the river you can use knockback attack to knock the spawning Fate Sentries in the wence they came or use Cronos Rage (preferably level 3 but two is also fine) to capture and stun/hold them in place. A double cast of lvl2 or single cast of level one will both kill them and allow you to pull the levers as they are being killed. Your first Titan Minotaur lies ahead. He is not a boss but is treated as a mini-boss.

After a few frustrating times of dealing with the sentries, I finally made it to the other side, fought the minotaur and got to the mini boss.. kept dying (think i was just tired and couldn't concentrate well) so I gave up and shut the console off and went to sleep.. LOL I'll try again tonight

We'll soon be discussing the mini-boss then I suppose. Know that this boss is particularly easy to once you've scouted out all its moves and mannerisms..as they are all fairly similiar in their foils. He is a simple creature that dies in a very simple manner.

I sure hope so cuz last night death after death was really takin a toll on my last nerve..
I got his moves down, but for some reason just couldn't avoid him quick enough. I was using the hammer(lvl2) on him the L1+triangle move (forgive me as i forgot the move name) it worked well to take his health quickly but I took a lot of damage with it because I couldnt move out of his way quick enough.. I tried to start to move away from him then direct the hardest final blow to him, worked well until i get caught in his flame on breath.. LOL.. but as I stated b4. i was just tired and couldn't give it my all .. so I guess I'll try again tonight...
Remember that all of that Cerberus attacks can be blocked, except for the fire-balls. I suggest getting up close with the hammer and spamming /\,/\. I like using RotT when he starts shooting fireballs since he rarely hits if you're close enough.
omerhe
Indeed.
~The quadruple fireballs can be parryed or simply avoided. Strafing around him whilst preparing to deal damage suits me best.
His flamethrower is dangerous even though it can be blocked entirely. He'll keep going for it if you immediately close the distance between the two of you after he finishes doing that attack
If you need to, play it safe with simply uses of the Hammer (triangle, triangle) while blocking his attacks in stage 1. After he swallows the Golden Fleece, activate RotT and go ape**** on him with triangle triangle hits. They are STRONGER the "Might of the King". (L1+triangle) His damage is negligable. Just keep hammering away.
NOTE: Get used to his attack patterns (physical strikes in sets of two) and try to get away from the need to roll for evasion. Instead learn to deal with/anticipate all attacks without rolling so you can optimize Hammer PWNAGE.
~Ah, I had a ridiculous amount of trouble with the Cerberus Mutant. Though there were some things about that A: Towards the beginning of a God Mode NUR, so I wasn't used ot the difficulty, and B: This was long before I was enlightened by the ways of the Hammer. Imagine fighting that thing on god mode with level 1 BoA. Owch. InfernoPirate
I bet you were having a WONDERFUL TIME.

ok I got past him, like I said, I was just tired the first time. Got thru him after a few tries.. (I did try to run and anticipate his attacks due to not being able to roll for evasion - that SUCKS by the way.. *sigh* i like bein able to roll to evade... it was like a handicap not being able to.. smh) in any case.. im up to the medusa chick.. which is a tougher fight then I had anticipated.. she has gotten me a few times I have to admit.. Im doing all the blocking and using the Fleece to send back her ray, then I hammer her till my fingers bleed when she is on the columns.. again using the fleece to evade her ray... but its that third part when she is back on the floor that always gets me.. I just run out of health by then.. but Im going to keep on trying...

Simply blocking and waiting for openins is what I do until he goes for the quad-fireball. Then I strafe around him and pummel him.
With Euryale you can use some magic in the first stage (I suggest Cronos Rage during her attack for the invicibility frames), get it back through reflecting her gaze, then do as you please in the pillar stage....When she returns to the ground activate RotT and pummel her with the Hammer. That should destroy her QUICKLY. Don't worry about blocking. Use Cronos Rage during her combo if you simply HAVE to avoid the damage. This method works on a GK:TM:NUR.
Ok, well I got past her.. and accidentally unplugged the PS2... *smh* i was HOT.. so I had to do it all over again. I swear Im getting good practice for strategy fighting..
My method was simple.. I just used the fleece to reflect her ray back to her in the first stage, it took a while, but it proved profitable to save damage to myself. I just beat on her in the second stage reflecting her rays when needed and dodging her tail swipe. The third stage I did in fact use the RotT until I got my O prompt.. it went fairly quickly the second go around..

Onward then..to your first encounter with a Hades Juggernaut. Then your second encounter with a stronger Titan Minotaur being backed up by infinitely spawning *as long as he is alive* Cursed Harpies in pairs of two. Inferno, Evan, Soul and I all have our little tricks for this fight..Shinobier uses a nice one but I feel the straightfoward method is much more effective and easier for new players to PWN with.

My aplogies for not adding in my current position. I've made it thru, fought Perseus and saved right after you break the barrior down with his shield. I made it thru the Perseus fight fairly quickly, the second try he was beat (only after foolishly not preparing for the fight the first time.) I didn't use any special attacks on him except to just beat his a** when there was an opening. Nothing fancy.. just Square hits until I could finally catch the O prompts within the time limit.

No matter the difficulty setting you'll find Perseus quite unthreatening..
~You are fast approaching where the Spear of Destiny and Urn of Olympus are. The Great Chasm part is a favorite among most who play GoWII and you'll be getting another relic soon.
~Well, he was fairly annoying on my God Mode NUR, but by then I still hadn't fully embraced the hammer. Once I'd gotten warmed up on his invisible faze it was fairly easy. I also wasn't sure of how to kill him when he had only the shield at first. I tell you, just rest up and you can do it every time.InfernoPirate
Sometimes stopping is much easier said then done for those of us who actually wish to do NURs.
~I'm sure you understand the feeling Inferno
*doin my happy dance* I finished GoW2 tonight.. YEAYYY!!!! and I did it all by myslef.. (hubby helped me with the mini-game crap) cuz I just absolutley detest them.. BUT YEAYYY im done.. now i think ill work on the challange of the gods for both 1 and 2.. then ill move on to my NUR's..
I do belive I'm getting better at the game the fights didnt seem as tough as my first time playin GoW1.. Â

I suggest you start with Challenge of the Gods. If you need video examples of how to PWN..I happen to have such things now. Though I haven't covered CotG 2 and 8 (Artemis and Normal) just yet..my camera makes that a bit difficult to pull off. Then Challenge of the Titans.
Soon you'll be doing a God Mode NUR..or will you be doing a NUR+? Later NUR/NUR+ on Titan Mode. (GoWII) Perhaps later I'll ask if you are willing to try your hand at the GK:TM:NUR.
~Well, you know I'm up to it, but I have to start sucking less first, of course.InfernoPirate
So how are you progressing?..
