About Spyro's Age in DotD

According to my research about his age in the Legend of Spyro series, he is now currently 15 years old in Dawn of the Dragon. I haven't played A New Beginning enough yet, but it is estimated he, Cynder, and Sparx are all about twelve in that game, based off the Wendy's promotional toys. (Anyone remember those?)

So what does everyone think? Should Spyro keep on aging or should he stay where he is at now?

15 is a good age for the responsibility of saving the world ;)

I was one of the People who voted to see spyro age more over time.

No real reason in particular, just thought it might be cool to see him age like in Real Time. Also, i think the bigger he gets, the more carnage he can output!!!!

I hope they will keep making spyro games after the movie and DOTD.

I think I read somewhere that Sonic The Hedgehog is 15... the Sonic 3 manual! That's the last time his age was mentioned as far as I know. Knux was also 15 and I think Tails was 13.

As for the vote, I say he should grow older. Would be cool to see him become an adult Dragon. :)

Well, here is where difference of opinion comes in. Unforunately, according to the actual game, I think Spyro is only about 3-4 years old. (In Dragon years anyway)

Although I'm going completely on memory, correct me if I'm wrong.
In ANB, when Ignitus sent Spyro down the Silver River as an egg, Sparx's parents Flash and Nina found him and grew him up. Then I'm pretty sure that only a few months later (according to the game), the apes attacked, Spyro discovered he was a dragon, found Ignitus again, and started his life as a hero. According to the story, I'm guessing, ANB was all in one day and TEN followed the night after.
Then after they were frozen in the crystal, they aged three years. So I'm guessing since Spyro and Cynder was born at the same time, and Sparx was born around Spyro's time, a few months + two days + three years would make about

3 years and a few months. Possibly close to four years.

Again, this might be jsut in Dragon Years and also explain Spyro and Cynder's size compared to the Guardians. But this is speculation, just going on what I think remembering what the game said. :?

It seems almost everyone has reached a consensus here. That's what prompted me to begin wondering about their ages.

I'm not challenging your statement; nor, can I have any say on it right now. I was just curious to know what everyone thought about this. So I am most likely wrong.

Now I have to make some time to play the games immediately, to find out for sure.

Well, all of this is based on speculation, Alec.

Insomniac and Sierra nor anyone else never talked about Spryo's age. So all we have to go upon are a few toys from Wendy's that say Spyro and Cynder are 14 years old at the time of ANB, we're guessing a year older (like bdog said) in TEN and the extra three years in DotD.

So after everything, I'm guessing Spyro and Cynder would be about 17-18 years old. :roll:

If he was 17 or 18, wouldnt you think he would look even bigger than he does in DOTD? (juging how humans grow to about their full height when they are about 20 or so...) But still, we are talking about a video game here, and if the creators wanted to make a 17 year old spyro that isnt too much bigger than the 14 year old one, they can...

Maybe he's a short (small) dragon like me, except for the dragon part. :lol:

Although, they could always age and grow differently than humans too.

I know I'm skirting everywhere on this issue, but Alec just reminded me of that.

Most probably ANB and TEN were a day after day thing. Remember ANB after the credits while Spyro and Cynder were looking at the stars on the balcony? Then TEN started at night again, on the same balcony. I think we can probably assume that it was the same night.

What's gonna happen next? Is there going to anymore news or new happenings during the period of Dawn of the Dragon and the movie in December 2009? :?

From what we know, yes. Although the most recent information was around the time of T.E.N.

My guess is that the movie will cover the entire story from ANB to DotD.
