If any of you guys remember me, then I would like to say hello again.

Well, the topic at hand is that if Dawn of the Dragon is coming out on october, which is also when alot of good games come out, do you think this game will be crushed by those games? I hope not, Fallout 3, Farcry 2, and Bioshock are all coming out on the same month though, so I don't know if I will be able to buy it early....

Anyone else with the same worrys?

Hello again.

I understand what you mean. There's many games coming out around this time. This quarter is usually not the best time to be releasing games, since it's around the holidays. You would think it would be the best time for people to spend their money, but other companies have noticed this and decided to release games during this time. (I just remembered, Silent Hill: Homecoming came out today. I need to pick it up tomorrow.:D )

If they decide to advertise Dawn of the Dragon like they do with the more popular games, then I can guarantee it will sell a lot more than to rely on word of the mouth. It looks good enough to catch many peoples' attention, so it's up to them to get it to sell.

Just remember, advertising games equals selling them. Even if more popular titles come out the same time, it will still be in the back of someone's mind, because the person saw the commercial, ad, etc.

True true, but the problem is that my parents have a policy of only buying one game a month, which makes it even harder because if I buy this one game over the others, I won't be able to buy all of them until a long time from now, also there is the fact that even more games are coming out on november and december, so I am basically outmatched.

Yea, I could work for money as well and might increase that number to like 3 or something a month, but it's still going to be hard on me.

( Silent Hills ALREADY OUT!? GOD, THEY CAN'T JUST WAIT A BIT, CAN THEY!? Now there's so many games out there that my head is going to explode into confetti!

I dont know... Im shure anyone who wants to get this game, has already got plans and preperations for it. It being the 3rd in a series that isnt too well known.

In other words, if people really want this game, then they are going to get it, and if not, then they wont. To me, its not one of those "Maby i should get it, or maby not" I think the Spyro series is eather somthing you like, or dont. Simple as that.

However, like drago said before, if advertizements do appear on TV, then it will spark more intrest, but i have doubts. I have sadly learned its rather hard to convince someone now a days to pick up a controller and play a spyro game. :(

I know what you are going through. I have an extremely long list of "games to get", but not enough money! I still don't have enough for a PS3...

There's like five more titles I plan on getting in the next two months, on top of what I have to get from months past.

Dayyyaaam. A lotta postin' be goin' on here.

I just happened to spot ILGOW21 saying in his first post that a lot of good games are coming out in October. Well, there's one I'm looking particularly forward to in November: Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox Live Arcade! :D

And ah yes, that'd be BioShock 2 you might be talking about? I think I heard there'd be a sequel to that. I'm still working my way through the first. It's a cl.. awesome game! lol Nearly fell in the trap. :P

Yup, Bioshock seems awesome, but sadly I already spoiled the ending to myself ( that was in the time where I was convinced this was exclusive ) so yea, pretty good story, especally for a FPS, I consider it along with Mass effect and MGS as having the best story line in gaming

Same here. I rarely buy games anymore because I'm either still having fun with what I got or just don't play as much as I used to.
But Dawn of the Dragon is an expection. I have to buy this game....:o

Well, it looks like we're all getting Dawn of the Dragon, but if you're looking for racing games, Adam, go for Midnihgt Club: Los Angeles or Gran Turismo 5. Both are on the PS3, and top of the line! ;)

Avoid GT if you want arcade racing though. Need For Speed is apparently the best for arcade racing, but I dunno. All the vehicles swerve from side-to-side so much for me! But I was recently told I need to consider what car to use more carefully, so I guess that's it. Still, I just want something I can play! :(

Maybe you should try GRID, Burnout Paradise, DiRT, and Project Gotham Racing. Midnight Club: Los Angeles is for the Xbox 360 too, i think. I don't remember you having a PS3. If you do, GT5 is for it.

Then I recommend you look out for Vigilante 8 Arcade that's coming to XBLA soon. ;) I can't wait for it! I used to have Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense on N64 and that was a loada fun. :)

Yes they are. And the clown, Sweet Tooth, is pretty messed up.

I think all of the games are rated M. :o But they're still extremely fun. And great storylines!!!

It was my best friend, Biagio, who got me into the Twisted Metal franchise.
Of course, I never played any of the games without him because he owned every game, but it was still fun when we played each other. :P

You almost feel the same way I do about clowns.

Watching this video is a must. It will help you overcome your fear. (It's not a screamer or a rick roll. I hate those things.)

Anyway, Twisted Metal is the perfect game for you. I highly recommend Twisted Metal 4. It has the largest selection of cars and good amount of stages to choose from. The system is fully developed in that game, as well, compared to the previous PSX ones. That's what makes it my favorite one.

The other Twisted Metal games are fun too. I've played all the ones for the PS1, PS2, and PSP, except for Twisted Metal Small Brawl. So, it's one of my favorite series of games. :D

You know what? When you posted that message, gangstasan, you left out the "e" in "get".

I thought you were talking about Gran Turismo, whose abbreviations are gt.

And then I thought, "Gran Turismo isn't even for the 360..."

Now I feel stupid....epic fail. :?

When I was on the Spyro 1 forums yesterday, I saw FriendlyDude say he prefered the rivalry of Nintendo and Sega to the current Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft one. I think back then games were more about having fun. Seems to all be about maxing your stats these days.

Well, you can blame Nintendo for what they did to Sony, which in turn, led up to Sony entering the gaming market with the Playstation console.

Competition basically. Nintendo came out with the GameCube and other machines, which made Sony react and try to get the consumers to their side with the PS1. From there, the progression and competition became fierce! :o

^ Well, I'd say the N64 is better than the Gamecube tbh. The Playstation 1 has FF games, Crash games, and Spyro games, though. I'd say the PS1 is the best of the 3.

Nah, PS1 was better then GC and N64, like previous guy said, it had crash, spyro, FF, and what many people consider to be the best PS1 or even one of the best games of all time, Metal Gear Solid ( Ok, maybe I'm biased about MGS, but still, many people consider it so. )

Even though GC had MGS:twin snakes, which was basically MGS with better graphics.

The N64 shouldn't be neglected entirely though. I can name loads of great games on it.

Super Mario 64, Mariokart 64, Beetle Adventure Racing, Lylat Wars (Starfox 64), Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Jet Force Gemini, Donkey Kong 64, 007 GoldenEye, Mystical Ninja, Mystical Ninja 2 (Goemon's Great Adventure), F-Zero X, Glover (it was originally intended only for the N64 but was later ported to PC and PS1).

I could go on... ;)

I mean, do you know how many joke people will make if they named their games...

legend of zelda wii, super mario wii, metriod wii.....
