Favorite Spyro game moment

Following Sputnick's advice in making a topic about this instead of going off topic on another board...well I created it! Btw Sputnick I understood what you were saying on that topic and I will try not to go off topic on other topics. Anyway on this board state your favorite moment that involved Spyro whether it be a hard boss battle you overcomed or something that made you excited, happy, sad, or even laugh. Anything at all.

The most prominent moment for me was in the first Spyro game.

Remember the portal of Metal Head in the world of Beast Makers?
Well, when you go into the world, there is only one dragon you freed and then you go fight Metal Head, the giant robot. After you defeat him, you have to find your way out of the castle a different way than you came in and get the rest of the gems outside on the platforms.

I sware it took me a good four days to figure it out. You had to dive down through the broken gate of the green slime river and go around that. Then you went up the whirl-wind and that took you to the top of the platforms!!!!

This was back when I was about 8. I felt so happy when I finally got it that I jumped for joy that FINALLY I'd be complete the level with 100% of the game and go to Gnasty's Loot!!!!!! Yeah. Good times......goooood times.....:)

OOO... It took me a while to figure out what and where you were talking about, but now i remember..... Lets see... I think I was playing the game when my sister pointed it out to me...

Very clever, very clever indeed. It was very hard to catch.

For me, the hardest part of a spyro game would have to be in "the eternal night" where you come upon a giant platform and the only way to get past it, is to defeat wave after wave of enimies that randomly spawn. I think it was on "Mountian Fortress" Level, but im not 100% shure. Anyway, it took me 3 days and a PS2 controller (I got very angry and threw it across the room :evil: ) to beat it. In fact, the first time i played that part, i didnt even beat it myself!!! My friend auctually came over and beat it his first/second try. I was awestruck because he had never played ANY spyro game before.

As for my favorite part of a spyro game...

Im shure you guys already know about this, but I liked it when Spyro was about to say "I just wanna kick some ....." But is interupted in "Spyro the Dragon" (ps1)

As for the new series, ill have to think about it and post again later. ;)

Holy Poop!I remember that level! It was at he Mountain Fortress!!!! Damn it, I hated that thing! The enemies respawned at random spots and sometimes they would gang up on you and send you off the cliff.

But I actually made myself a helpful strategy!!!!

If you remember, the platform where the two red crystals and one green crystal is? Where what I did was jump onto the main platform and wait until the emenies started to spawn. Then I jumped off the platform back onto the ones with the crystals on it. Then I'd just double jump and shoot fire balls and Electric bombs at the enemies from the safe position of the lower platform until they died. When they died, the other enemies would automatically respawn. Keep doing that until your bar runs out. Then turn on your dragon time, and run around all the enemies collecting the MANY, MANY gems from the dead enemies and go back to your platform.

Do that for about five minutes and you can take a one way trip to easy-ville!!! 8) This game is so fun to find glitches in!!!

My favorite moment was finally beating that pirate ship boss (I forgot the name of him -_-). Since I can't describe my feelings when I first beated him I shall do a reanactment:

"Alright let's do this!" *Dodges pirate ship* "Yeah I can handle this" *Dodges pirate ship 5 more times and then pirate ship crashes, Spyro runs up to pirate ship and fires fire at them. Then pirate ship gets back up and goes faster.* "What the..." *Spyro dodges it a thousand times* "Come on crash!" *Spyro gets hit and dies* "How did I lose so much life from one charge!?" *30 more tries later* "Wait, I can use dragon time!" *Dies two more times but almost kills boss. One last try and Spyro beats him.* "Yeah! Yeah! Take that!"

...and then I curse at the screen for an hour while I countinue the game. Preaty much my best victory ever!

I remember that too, swordmaster.

And the pirate ship boss's name was Skabb. ;)

Yeah, I remember that part. I died twice.

(SPOILERS- Dont' read if you haven't finished TEN)

The last boss Gaul from TEN, was my favourite moment of Spyro.. The fight, music, dark Spyrp killing Gaul, Gaul for being a cool last boss, and it all being epic.

Mine is usually reaching a really high place in a level, cuz I just love the views you get. :) Getting to the top tower in Autumn Plains, climbing the steps to the lair in Winter Tundra. It's all good. 8)

OH, hell ya.

I would spent hours trying to find the exact best place for a good view and then just keep Spyro there to see the entire area thoroughly! 8)

I remember when I had the first Spiderman game for the PS1, I was able to go onto something that was similar to a radio tower.....I think that was what it was. :roll:

But the highest I've gotten in a racing game (on a jump that is) was on Midnight Club 3. I jumped from a ramp around 400 feet in the air and traveled about 1000 feet until I hit the ground. If that was in real life, I would have died. :lol:

Nah, I'm sure you wouldn't've died. The car sure would've taken a beating though! :P

I've always been meaning to try out the Spiderman games from the PS1 onwards. I think I saw a bit of the first one on PS1. It looked cool. :)

I remember when I played the second Spider Man game, I got to almost the end and got stuck as I couldn't beat a certain mission or something.....

I started playing AHT a few months ago, but i keep getting stuck in the swamp level. I hate that place...bd0g5

Ah yes. That place can be quite annoying. I eventually got through it though and it was then that I understood a little more how the game works. Because once you get used to Crocovile Swamp, you get used to the whole game. ;) Watch out for the purple Spiders in that level, though! Damn, those things creep me out. They're also in Blink's mini-levels, so be aware of that.

I beat AHT yesterday, and Mecha Red wasn't that difficult, I only died once.Aerosite

Ah, Dragonfly Falls? Yeah. It's great. My favourite level in the game! :D If I remember rightly, the only way you can get to it is through the very first Ball Gadget.

I'd say it's my favorite too. :) I'm gonna try to play again, hopefully i can get past the Swamp.
