3 votes total, 5 possible choices, 100% have chosen #1. I think its pretty clear so far. LOL!!!

I think it would be cool if you could fly across the map whenever you like, but have some sort of boundrys system so that you have to unlock each piece of new territory therefore it wont spoil the whole game. Imagine: No loading screens, just go where you want whenever you want. That would be awesome!

Hey, Erica!!!! I'm back and responding to everything! On this I chose the second option.

I want to have a great time, but I think having an unlimited flight height will take away from the land moving. Anything less than option two I don't think would be good enough....

I chose the second option as well. Because, having the ability to fly 'out' of the level can be glitchy.

I went with the second option because as was said before it can be glitchy and also you would probally just fly away from all the main objectives in the level which would leave you with a headache trying to figure out what to do. The creators are probally just going to make the flight option good enough for people to enjoy but also keep them in the areas where they need to go to.

Who voted the last option?!?!?!LittleGreenDog

It wasnt me, but i think i can see that persons reasoning. For instance, if you free-fly all the time, you might overlook the games graphical beauty. Also, Spyro has never flown before (Besides the parts in the old series where you charge-up your wings; enabling you to fly for a short while) It might take away from the classic spyro gameplay style that was incorporated into the new game.

I for one, still overlook all of that, and cant wait to see spyro fly.

Voted the first option :P I was always a little dissappointed you couldn't completely fly in the first game. I think when I first played that demo, I always thought you'd be able to fly, until I tried at the top of that tower in Stone Hill... :|

No, no. You have miss understood him. He is talking about the very first game "Spyro the dragon" for the PS1. Stone Hill is one of the first levels you are able to play in the game. I also remember gliding from that tower. I thought it was the coolest part in the whole game because i thought that i had gotton outside the level where no one is suposed to go. (I was very little when i played the game) I also think there is a glitch where you can fly across the water in that level. Well, its more like a hover, but its still cool! Look it up on youtube to see what i mean.

As for a demo... there is no demo for DOTD right now, but maby we will see one later.

You cant go too far before hitting a invisible wall, and if you try to go back on land you will simply hit the wall and spyro will start to act like he is falling but sits perfectly still. You can only breath fire.

However if you do the first part of the glich and DONT go into the water, Spyro will become invincible. Thats right, he cant be hurt.

Besides, discs have only a limited amount of space. An unlimited height of flight would be too overbearing on the reader, thus making it impossible. I think it's good as it is....

Perhaps Spyro should be able to fly as high as the highest point in a level? For example, perhaps a few feet above that top tower in Spyro 2's Autumn Plains...

That reminds me of the first spyro game for the PS1. After you get 100% completion, you unlock the final level where spyro can fly any time! The only draw-back was that in order to fly higher, you had to take-out those little turban guys on different elevations. Its kinda hard to explain.

I think the second option would be better, since as others said, it's best to set limits to avoid glitching and glaring bugs. To get the most fun and enjoyability, it should be limited just enough to make it work.

When you have played games where you can go inside walls, or other "out of bounds" zones, and it leads up to the game throwing the kill switch on you, or the even worst, stuck for eternity, then you know why the limits are set.

That reminds me of the first spyro game for the PS1. After you get 100% completion, you unlock the final level where spyro can fly any time! That was a great level. It took me a second to realize that they gave you the opportunity to free fly at will, which made the level really fun.

If you can fly as high as you want then you could just completely miss all your enemies which wouldn't make the game as fun...the whole point is to be able to go through the game beating enemies...Maybe being able to fly over some enemies would be nice, but not all.

Well, in the game, you can fly over the enemies, but I wouldn't leave the area until they are killed. Then your losing precious blue gems to make your elements stronger!
Also, for the game, I agree with Eddy that it should be just enough. I think it would be immpossible to have a game with an endless flying system. That would be a but out of control...

At the raft place, I've seen random enemies just pop out of the floor, and I flew past them.

Especially in the Burned Lands.

Those guys just pop up endlessly! But it's a great way to get your elemental levels to sky rocket! :P

I just ignore guys like that, because my health really goes down quick. I just fight enemies when I have to.
