I was 10! I have fond memories of back in '98 when I played the demo for the first time. It was awesome. I actually said not long after that, that I'd have a PlayStation by the time I'm 18. My brother said I'd forget, but I didn't! :P I actually got one when I was around 17, come to think of it. First game I bought was Tony Hawk 2, but I soon got hold of Spyro in all it's full-game glory. :D best 10 Pounds I ever spent.
lolz, i dont remember. It was officially my big brother's and he was pretty selfish with his Playstation at times, so i was lucky to play anything for more than 20 minutes at a time...
To tell you the truth, I was kinda selfish with that PS I played on when my brother was with me the second time or something. He said I was a hog. But he was a bit of a hypocrite, cuz when he had the Genesis, I had to make do with a Spectrum. Then he got the N64, and I got the Genesis. Eventually I had the opportunity of buying my own stuff, so that resolved all that! :P
Spyro actully brought me and my sister closer together for a time when I was seven :). We saw comercials of spyro the dragon and we were like "I can't wait for this game. I can't wait for this game!" Me and my sister liked to work together to beat games when we first got the PS. We even got to the third island together in crash bandicoot and beated the final boss in crash 2. We took turns playing Spyro and we had so much fun together. We were finally able to get through the game and beat gnasty gnorc but then we found out that we had to get everything in the game so we worked together to find everything and then we had a lot of fun on the last level :). But then my sister got Spyro 2 as a gift. I played my own games for a time but I began to notice my sister wasn't playing videogames too much (she started middle school) so I asked her if I could play it and she said I could and I did and beated it. But my sister didn't play anymore Spyro games afterwards.
Hey that's cool. Shame she doesn't play them anymore, but that seemed like a cool time for gaming. I don't think me and my bro have ever been in that situation. Maybe briefly, but I'm sure it didn't last long...
Anyway, i have no idea how old i was when i first picked up the controller to play Spyro The Dragon. All i remember was that my cousins and sister were always fighting over who could play next! :lol: I usualy lost because i was the youngest... lol
Heres a little piece of information that made me laugh when I first heard it. If DoTD is coming out on October 27 (which I think it is) then it will come out on the same day as my sisters birthday. Did anyone else expect that coincidence?

I remember playing the first Spyro games when I was 3-6, they were one of the first games I ever played, they also were the first games I ever 100% beaten
And I wish I could of answer this sooner but I had lotsssssss of band stuff to do XD. No she's not my sister. My brother in law isn't in the army and my sister isn't into games as she was when we were kids. But I have told her about this and my fanfic :D.

And actually I am a little sister. My older sister is 23, same age as my husband. So you can be an Army Wife and a Little Sister...but I am not Swordmaster's little sister.

Yes, that it would. But also, about the original Spyor game graphics, when you consider all the technology back in 1998, that game was actually one of the best games graphically wise for the PS1. I love it, to say the least....and still own it to this day.

When I'm replaying PS1 classics like Spyro the Dragon and even games like Silent Hill, I think the same thing. But then I realize that those kind of graphics were acceptable and excellent at the console's time. So really, those graphics aren't bad at all not applying any of today's standards...
