Some Questions

The main menu is amazing basically. When you switch screens, an inferno (which looks surprisingly real) pops up and changes the screen. From there, its just a regular menu screen with the fire changing the screen everytime.

Sierra was correct about the shipping date. It was shipped on the 22nd, but just took an extra day to get stocked on the shelves. It was like that for everyone. Eddy is Kansas, Polo in Texas, Me in Delaware. The whole US. It is available now though...

Erica, I would love to make you a video of the ENTIRE game, but unforunately, I don't have a camcorder. I fail.....
But if I find any movie footage of it on youTube, I'll let you know. ;)

So far, what are Volteer, Terrador, and Cyril's role in the game? What have they done?LittleGreenDog

During the level where you fight the Golem, Cyril saves Spyro and Cynder from the Golem's attack. Volteer eliminates some enemies for them. Terrador along with Ignitus help fight the Golem, but they are both defeated. Other than that, they didn't do very much in the game once again...

On Wednesday the 22nd, I went to Target, and I didn't see the game at all. Shouldn't it be out by then?LittleGreenDog

As Joe said, the game wasn't in stores for most people. Apparently, there was some problems with the shipments of Dawn of the Dragon, and most stores didn't receive the game on the 22nd.

Can someone with one of those TV recorder things that lets you put videos on the computer of you playing games PLEASE post a short video of the game? Maybe you could record yourself playing or something? You don't have to do this if you don't want to, but I'm not getting the game, and I would really like to see some new gameplay of some new levels.

Also, if you die while your flying or are over a cliff and there's no ground below you, you do one of two things:
Either fall downward in a corkscrew or fall dead down head first into a black abyss. But the game respawns you before you hit the ground.SOADjoe19

Reminds me of the original Spyros, really. The 2nd one definately does.

Yea, i really liked how spyro and cynder die when you take too much damage. It looks A LOT more realistic. However, sometimes when i died, Spyro/Cynder's bodies would fall through the ground and begin to dive down head-first (as if they were to die in the air)

-a minor glitch, but hey, its still a huge improvement from ETN and ANB!! :)

When you explained what Cyrill's , Voltieer's, and Terrador's roles are in the game, the thing that attacks Spyro and Cynder when Cyrill saves them, thats not the Destroyer, that was the Golem, the Destroyer appears after that level.

Yeah, it was at the level where you fight the Golem where they help Spyro and Cynder.

To Adam or anyone else who might know the answer,

If you watch the videos, the reason I was so hesitant to upload my own videos should be easy to spot. The footage isn't as bad as I have seen before, but I can't find a way to get rid of those annoying lines that appear sometimes. Look closely at the brighter colors to see them.

I've tried messing around with the settings, but those lines won't go away. They make it harder to watch the video. If you or the others know what the problem might be then can you let me know, please? I'm willing to make some more videos, but that problem needs to be solved before I upload more...

I'm thinking about getting an inexpenisive little cam corder for myself too. Trust me, if I had one, I would have recorded the entire thing for you Erica....;)SOADjoe19

There's no swimming at all. When they touch water, Spyro and Cynder will automatically go into flight. It's the same when you fall into places that would be otherwise pitfalls.

well that and one teeny tiny other way if you just... stop paying attention lol, and thats the ocasional moments in the game when a you fight a boss, a button apears on screen and you gotta hit it within like... 3 seconds or you automatically die. I actualy never ever died to that part... and wanted to see what happened if I failed it... well... it was simply disapointing and I wished I didn't do it... I recomend you don't do it either because if you love Spyro and Cynder it'll be like taking a whip to the heart, sad.

Actually, I did find out what happened in each of the scenes. The spoiler explains everything....

[spoiler] Whenever you are facing the huge Fire Golem, if you don't press the right button, the golem eats them. In a few other scenes, they die in other ways. Tragic definitely. I was greatly surprised when I first saw it. :cry:

In other ways, like in the final boss battle, there are I think five points where you do this. About two of them, Spyro and Cynder get hit by an attack and just recover. Another one both of them are falling down a trench, Malefor comes behind them and slams then up against a wall. If you don't press the right button, then Malefor attack you again, and throws you into the center of the Earth at the bottom on the fire trench. [/spoiler]

Actually, you don't fail at the spoiler thing, because I had a REALLY hard time trying to get it to work also. This site's tags are broken just like most other things. Anyway, I'll do it the much more reliable way...

I've seen each death scene. I was surprised when I saw the very first one when I was playing co-op mode.

**SPOILER** Skip to the  next notice to avoid spoiling the scenes.

It's where you have to press the jump button to grab the platform again. If you don't, then the Golem EATS Spyro and Cynder. My reaction to that the first time was, :shock:...then... :lol: ...wow!

My favorite would be the last one for the first stage where you have to press the weak attack button to pull Cynder out of the Golem's hand. Fail to press it, and he pulls Spyro into his mouth for dinner instead. XD

Would it be bad if I made a video of all the deaths in Dawn of the Dragon? I haven't been surprised by cutscene button sequences since Resident Evil 4 and Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Now those are some funny (and gruesome) deaths. :lol:

The first time I saw the gameplay video showing the first button sequence in Dawn of the Dragon, I knew there would be some funny-looking deaths, and I was right.

Another funny thing is, I still play RE4 to die on purpose so I can watch the death scenes... >_>
