Ugh...Another Disappointing Spyro Review...

Yep, the same guys that said Spyro could breath water (not kidding) gave The Legend of Spyro Dawn of the Dragon a 4.5/10 in this months XBOX Official Magazine. Im not going to type the whole review like last time, but ill give you "The Verdict" as they call it. (a summary of their review.)

Now, this REALLY Grinds my gears.... To say so many negative things about a game that has come SOO incredibly far and has been around for over 10 years, is just frekin stupid! ill bet the reviewer didnt even play any of the old TLOS games... what a jerk.

I don't think that game is even close to it, from what  a lot of people are saying.

I'm sorry to say this Adam, but I stopped reading right there. I don't even want to know what more nonsense they can spew out after a statement like that...

I've seen comercials for Mirror's Edge but... that didn't tell me anything about the game, what kinda game is it, a third person action, an rpg, first person shooter, what? Dakuu

It's a First Person Shooter, I think. GameFAQS put it in that category.

Seriously, I'm shutting my eyes to these reviews, I f-in loved the game and no review is gonna make me feel otherwise... though if I come across someone that says Spyro sucks or something... i'm gonna be struggling to not kick them in the face.Dakuu

I think it's basically like Portal, without the Portal Gun :P It's been called the First-Person Platformer. Some of the climbing stuff you do reminds me a bit of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, actually.

I really should try out the Road Rash series again. I wish they'd put the first 3 on XBLA! In fact, any of the old ones would go on XBLA. As for Test Drive, I tried the demo of Unlimited but wasn't that keen. I think I'm gonna give up on today's racers apart from maybe Mariokart Wii (or any Nintendo racers for that matter), if I ever get to play that.

You've got a point right there. I hate losing at games and it seems most of today's games are so damn hard. I feel I have to look up the easy ones. :(Iceferno

well playing a hard game on your own might be hard, but playing a hard game with a walkthrough makes it more fun. Like idk if anyones play'd the new Golden Axe game but there one part of a lv that you need to use a drop kick/tackle -esc move, and the game makes no refrence to this move at all, and you only NEED to use it once at that spot to hop a really far gap, I woulda never figured that out without looking it up, and then of corse I felt better after slaying all the enimies on the other side, "Oh so you think it's funny I couldn't make that jump 15 times in a row, *BAM* looks like you lost yur head, bastard!! *goes on a killing spree*"

and I rather play a hard pain in the ass game than a ridiculously easy game that requires zero thinking.
