Velvet Octopus Taken Off the Net?

Ok, i dont know for shure, but every time i try to pull up the Velvet Octopus web page, i get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page" error message. Its weird, but i hope its just some web page maitnance.

NOTE: for those of you that dont already know, Velvet Octopus is the lead publisher for the new spyro movie.

Is anyone getting this message?

I dont think GS has been giving any points to any union for a very long time. If you look at some of the oldest unions with a lot of members, you will notice their level probably isnt higher than 2.

What's my Union's level all about?

Every Union has a level, and every Union starts at level 1. The Union's level increases from Union activity, so the more active a Union is, the faster its level will increase. In general, Unions with a higher level will be promoted more prominently within the GameSpot Community than Unions with a lower level. A Union's level isn't strictly a measure of a Union's quality, but it's suggestive of the Union's size and veterancy.

Emblems are basically GameSpot's version of Achievements. I've got quite a few. I'll explain some if you like :)

Neighborly - You get this when you comment on friends' blogs a lot
Tagger King - This is when you add massive amounts of tags to various parts of GameSpot (Blogs, Forum Threads, Unions etc).
Public Access - All you need is to upload a video to get this one.

Well, either way. The USU now is the only place for me. I'm still apart of the System of a Down Union (noticed my name? SOADjoe19?) but that place has been getting less and less active. It's a shame too. It's already up to Level 5 with over 200 members....

O, so thats what the "SOAD" part of your name means... I never knew that! Anyway, people ask questions about my name too. "Sputnick" was a name that my mom used to call me back when i was just a little kid. The name (as random as it is, and is in NO RELATION to the USSR Satellite) stuck with me, and became my nickname all over the net.

Ah, that's cool. If you didn't know, the USSR Satellite was spelled Sputnik.

Actually, yeah. I thought that your name was Nick and you made a spoof off of your name and the Satellite....:lol:

Since we are now taking about the origin of our names, I think I will contribute. My username just popped in my head one day. Actually, I was brainstorming some unique names, and I thought of Drago.

Little did I know, that it's not as unique as I had hoped. It is basically Dragon without the "n". XD

As for Eddy, I'm not quite sure where it came from. I think it started when I was in Pre-Kindergarten. Ever since then, that is the name I usually go by, with the occasional Ed here and there. I prefer Eddy, though.

Well as for me I decided on the name swordmaster because I like swords...alot. Basically I like any game with a sword in it or some sort of blade like weapon. I go a little crazy whenever a new game with a blade in it is released. Let me give you a example:

Friend-"Hey look the guy on the cover is using a dagger."

Me-"Omg! I must have that game. Must....Have...GAME!"

Yeah it's sort of like that. The reason why I prefer swords over guns is well: "Grrr I missed. Grrr I missed AGAIN! AHHHH WHY CAN"T I HIT ANYTHING!" Anyway because of my crazement for swords (I also have over 50 toy swords) and since whenever I play as a sword chacter it is almost impossible for me to die in the game I named myself swordmaster. As for the 3....well thats just some random number I thought of.

That's the number I wore when I played soccer for a summer league as goalie. For the entire season, I only allowed 3 goals to be let in out of 20 games. ;)

u no, i was playing Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Special Edition, and i was doing the shivering isles mod, and i beat it and became MadGod. i always loved being a MadGod so thats how i got my name "godofmadness" as for the 43 part, it was a random # i added.
