For me, it's the D-Pad. I find that the Analog on PS is a bit too sensitive (the actual stick itself, not the games, they can't help the sensitivity :P) and in places with lots of chasms and whatnot, I find it much less hassle to use the D-Pad. It doesn't respond too quickly to your every move, but because of this, you don't go shooting off the cliff and so on.

That's my opinion anyway. What do you use?

I voted analog stick by accident. I also use the d-pad. For dotD, though, i'll have to use the analog stick.

Yeah, it's more useful on racers, to be honest. Though with the GameCube one, you have no choice lol. Actually, I think it the GC Spyros handle well with Analogue. I think the GC is probably the exception here. The Analogue stick is actually pretty good lol

Yeah, it seems the GC and Xbox 360 have a good analog stick, but a worse d-pad.

It's weird for me, although I voted for analog.

I use the D-Pad for racing games, and for any fighting games like Tekken, but any other games like Spyro I always use the Analog stick. :? LOLZ!

That's basically the opposite to me! :P I always use Analog on racing games because you need that little more control for those kinda games. Though the GameCube Analog is kinda good so I use that for most things lol (cuz I have ETD and AHT on the GC :P)

Analog sticks every time, all the time for me. :)

Just about every game i play, i have to use the analog sticks or else i get totally screwed up when i go back to playing games with the joysticks.

Yeah, I think I started using the analog stick on the PS2 paddle whenI first played Midnight Club 3 and used the analog stick to drive the cars.
From then on, I used it. Although it seems I'm so conditioned in using the D-pad to drive on GT that I seriously suck at driving with the analog stick, where I'm flawless with the D-pad.... -damn you fingers!!!-

I guess the D-Pad is more useful for those realistic-sim racers. But for me, it's always D-Pad for non-racers and Analog for racers on the PS1/2.

It's hard to vote in this poll, because there's no option for both... :?

I alternate between the Analog and D-Pad, especially for games which have both open during gameplay. One game I did this the most was the Resident Evil: Outbreak games. I switched whenever a certain camera angle appeared.

It's too bad most games force players to use the Analog stick, but I don't mind. I'm quick to adapt.

Well, its not that bad, Eddy. Like in one of my games, Midnight Club 3, the original car controls are with the analog stick, but if I go within the gam control menu, I can change it to have the car turn with the D-pad.
I'm sure every game has this option....

You don't usually even need to change controls in a menu. You can alternate between the D-Pad or the Analog Stick. I suppose with some PS2 games, you have to since there are more controls (the D-Pad and Analog may do something entirely different to eachother) and that Analog LED is constantly on.

I think its because a lot of the older games required you to use the d-pad, or using the analog sticks was very hard and glitchy. Now that enough time has past for game makers to figure out how to fully use the 2 joysticks, it makes gameplay a whole lot better.

I think the older PS1 games could only be played with a d-pad. I might be wrong, but the Playstation 1 had no analog stick when it was just made. I think it didn't show it in the Crash 1 manual.

Dualshock control came to the PS in 1998, I think. Thus why even Spyro 1 was compatible with it. :)

Could well be one of the first games you could use Analog & Rumble control with. Unless Crash came first... Though I think it was too early for Crash 1. Breath Of Fire III just missed out on the action as it came out in 1997.

Are you saying it was hard?

I played Crash of the Titans, and it was a easy. I didn't have any problems with it. Of course, this was on the PSP...

I think someone I know has the PS2 version. Maybe I could try playing that one.

I'd probably take advantage of that feature if I had any friends in my country. Cuz, in reality, all my friends are elsewhere. I suppose DistantJ is one of my few UK friends but I just know him on the net too. What's even more annoying is when my mother was socalled "depressed" today, she decided to drag me down too saying I don't have a chance in America etc. I wanna move there so badly though! I hate this small island filled with a bunch of miserable gits. A quote from Peep Show comes to mind (but I'm not sure I can say it on here)..

Ah, there's a PSP one? Makes sense. I think it's come out for all the systems around at the moment, bar the DS. Anyways, I'll try giving it another go sometime. I always seem to misunderstand something on the first play.

To Alec:
Well a preorder is never a set price. It is merely a down payment on a game that you make in advance to pay less at the time when you buy it and to also reserve a copy for yourself. So for instance, if a game is $30, and you put a pre-order in for $10, then when you finally go buy the game, you only pay the remaining $20......

To Brandon:
For the PS3, 360 and Wii, the game will be $49.99.
For the PS2, $39.99
For the Nintendo DS, $29.99
