What's Your Favorite Element?

I just wanna know, What's your favorite element of spyro?

Do you like the shocking "Electricity"

How about the bitter cold of "Ice"

Maybe it's the crushing power of "Earth"

Or the burning sensation that is "Fire"

Choose which one you like the best, and comment about why you like it!

I chose "electricity" because I really enjoyed many of the things spyro could do with it in both "A new Beginning" and "The Eternal Night"

My favorite is definitely Earth. With the frail, you can jump and swing that giant earth "wrecking ball" four or five times before you land. Perfect for when your surrounded by enemies! Also the Earth Pound comes in handy to knock them into the air and then jump and kicked then off a cliff. ~My personal favorite combo~

Also, with the wrecking ball you grab onto the enemy and fling them over your head and back to the ground. Not a easy death, I'm sure....*~* And the fury....let's not forget the fury....three shockwaves of excellence.....^_^

Very interesting... out of all the elements, i thought earth was the hardest to sucessfully use. However, i did like the earth breath in the first game. It was almost like a earth "Shotgun". Somtimes, i would type in the "Inf. Magic" cheet, and blow enimies away with that blast of earth over and over again!

i would have to say that ice is my favorite. i take great delight in freezing my enemies and then picking them off, one by one...Essence220

I never fully understood how to use the "Ice" element. You say you pick them off one by one. Does that mean you just freeze them then pound the crap out of them? or do you switch to a different element and use that on them when they are frozen?

Meh, spyro didnt need her help. He could have done it all on his own, but let cynder help because he likes her. LOL JK, JK, only a joke.

I think this game will end with them in love. Seriously, it might end like that, if you disagree then next time I say something like that, jam forks into my eyes.

I like to use all the elements. Try this next time. My favorite combo. Only works with every element maxed out....

1. Horn Knock-Up

2. Turn on Dragon Time

3. Double jump and perform four combo meele moves (everything but kick back)

4. While in Dragon Time, switch to Fire and tap SQUARE to release a fireball.

5. Next switch to Earth, use the Earth Frail and left analog stick to cyclone around and swing ball and chain.

6. Finally, around the time you land, turn off Dragon Time, switch to Electricity and double tap SQUARE to release and explode a electric bomb.

If done correctly, you should perform moves 2-5 while in the air during Dragon Time. Then watch the carnage...

Earth wasnt bad at all! I personally liked his energy pound. His Earth ball looks pretty cool in DOTD too.

Joe your not the only one who likes to use the Earth element. it is my favorite too. all I really need is to get erath breath all the way up and I can kill anything. Also there is a really good glitch to earth breath, I use this when up against big enemies. If you rapidly press the square button while useing earth breath It will fire in short bursts so it doesnt take as much to mana bar to use it. I found this most useful when fighting Skabb, or Blunder Tails. try it and tell me what you think.Aerosite

Yeah, I do the same thing with the Earth Frail. I like to call it Rapid Fire (lolz at unoriginal). It does take a lot of damage from your opponent and doesn't hurt your power bar at all compared to just holding it down. 8) I also like to use the Earth and fire together as a combo. When you have both maxxed out, I turn on the Dragon Time, double jump, go to fire and spit out the Triple Fireball, then switch it Earth, swing around with the Earth Frail like a wrecking ball and land. By that time, the enemy is stunned almost dead and the fireballs come from behind and finish the job.....

Actully I made a combo up in ANB recently since I felt like playing the legend of Spyro games again. First I strike a group of enemies with a earth bomb. All the enemies in the vincinty spin in the air then I fire the homing lighting attack (secondary lighting attack) and while that is flying through the air I jump up and melee a enemy while also spiting out fire bombs which damage the other enemies. The lighting comes back during this time and does even more damage. Whenever I do this I basically destroy all the enemies in the vincity believe it or not so it's sort of like a mini fury.

Btw I left ice out because ice is very poor in the first legend of Spyro game. I found it a lot more useful in the second game.

p.s. the fire bomb, homing lighting attack, and the earth bomb have to be at max level to do this combo.

And thats what I love about TEN, you can utilize your breaths to make combos to your advantage. Its hard to do that in ANB. Anyone agree with me.Aerosite

I agree slightly, but also like swordmaster's combo. It's possible to complete them in ANB, but for some reason, a lot easier in TEN...

Ok I just thought of something. If we can use combos with the breath abilities in ANB and TEN, then imagine what we can do in DotD......scary thoughtAerosite

Hell, remember in the video from Comic-Con? The person playing made a 76-hit combo. Imagine what we can do, as kids who will be playing the game for long periods of time through out the week????

Do I see a 100+ combo? Oh, my God, I'm getting chills just thinking about what's going to happen!!!

And maybe this time, like in ANB and TEN, the gameplay won't slightly lag during intense battles.

Yo, dude. For about a month, after Dawn of the Dragon comes out. This board will be dead. Including me....lolz....

But unforunately, I have to stay over at the D.o.t.D board with ShinyStorm to help with all the people who will be coming in seeking for help. Trust me. It happened with ANB, with TEN, and now probably with DOTD. For about a good two to three months, I have to play the game myself, then help others. In that time, our boards explode with visitors....we can barely keep up.

I would love to see that on this board....

Well I wouldn't say the board will be dead, don't forget there is supposed to be a new Spyro game each year form 2009 and on. Another topic like this will be bound to show upAerosite

Oh, no! Of course not! I didn't mean permantly dead. I just meant for a short while, like a month or two, they're be close to no one here while everyone is playing. And I'm counting on new Spyro games coming out. I don't care what happens, I'll play them. He's basically the main game I play. That and Gran Turismo 4. When it does come out, I'll check out this along with the DotD on gameFAQs to help anyone who comes here. Including our own members! lolz.

You still have some time to play them. If you can't buy them, at least rent them. They are short enough.

That way, you won't be lost in the story.

Yes, the renting idea is a great one considering how short "A New Beginning" was. As for "The Eternal night" you might wanna consider buying it because;

Its cheep
Its a major improvement on A New Beginning
You wont be lost in the storyline because "Dawn of the Dragon" picks up right where "Eternal Night" left off
Its longer than "A New Beginning"
Its worth the money.

In my opinon, I wouldn't let Dawn of the Dragon be your first Legend game. Otherwise, you'll be completely lost.

Professionally (lolz), I would suggest you to play (or at least know what they were about) both A New Beginning and The Eternal Night.

Around my way, I've seen both ANB and TEN at HollyWood Video, not sure if BlockBuster carries them. You should play them to get the best knowledge of what DotD will be about and the story behind this game.

If not, you can just look at the links of both the ANB and TEN plots. But if you want to play them, don't click them. THEY'RE SPOILERS!!!!!!
