Made up Quotes?

Does anyone here make up their own quotes? I love to, and if you want me to, I'll keep posting them here everytime I think of a new one, but it varies on how long it takes. You can't rush art ;) But anyhow, here are a few of mine that I've made, and yes, they are all original and mine, not anyone elses:

"Life's too short for Shakespears."

"If luck exists, God created it..."

"Money can't buy hapiness but it solves alot of problems."

"If it isn't one thing, it's everything else."

"Those who practice only peace will be overthrown by those who only practice war."

"The theory of travelling back in time is assuming that time records events and can not only be played back and watched, but can also be rewound and visited."

"Man has to change his clocks for God's time."

""Prescribed mental-health drugs are the worst kind because they make you think that everything is alright when it really isn't."

Hope you liked those, and I hope I come up with more soon, it's been a while so hopefully I will.

I just remembered another one of mine:

"The lie of a friend is easier to trust than a stranger's truth."

Hmmm...

EDIT: Found another one of my quotes I made up in my blog. Lol. Anyhow, here it is:

"Things that you thought would never happen in a million years can happen in the blink of an eye."

Those are great, and oh so true too! Here are some more I made up:

"A single mistake should never justify making a second one."

"Before a monkey can watch the sunrise, he must first climb above the tops of the trees."

"Work not for yourself."

Thanks everyone, here are some more that I just posted in the quote of the week thread and I thought they were quite quotable:

Those are pretty good.  How about this one:

That's so true. See, I used a calculator on my IQ test, if you ask me, I deserve the high score because I used a resource that someone less resourceful didn't use.

Ok, um... Can we leave debates like this out of this topic? It's a bit off topic. Why not debate that in the off topic thread, this is a topic of intillect. Anywho, here is another one I made:

Well, I didn't think of it thattaway.  For instance, your friend is stuck in Warcraft III but you've beaten the entire game using the "whosyourdaddy" cheat (God mode.)  He refuses to use it and calls you a cheater.  But hey, it's in the game so it was meant to be used.  Same could go for the all weapons cheat in GTA.

Now now, no fighting!

Even-still, I dunno, it just doesn't do anything for me I suppose. Anyhow, got a dry spell right now, can't think of any more.

EDIT: Got another quote, for those of you who havn't figured it out yet, I'm very religious, so here it is:

One of my quotes (which is in my blog) is: You'll never know you're poor until the bill comes in.

A lot of those are based around common knowledge and reverse logic.

Aka: You can make a lot of cool downing quotes by reversing what the person would expect you to say.

Example "Writing is being able to be everyone else better than anyone else". While it sounds cool, it means nothing. All I did was reverse common conceptions about writing and fancifying them.

Additionally the best personal quote I have is:

"If you can't wish for more wishes, why not wish for more genies?"

I like the genie one, but the first one you made as an example wasn't cool at all :shock: I like quotes with true meanings and substanc and, hopefully, the ones I come up with are such. Like this new one I just thought of this minute:

"I fell by the shore and took a beating from the waves. Along came some bandits, who beat me for my coin, but I held no grudge against the sea."

I like the genie one, but the first one you made as an example wasn't cool at all :shock: I like quotes with true meanings and substanc and, hopefully, the ones I come up with are such. Like this new one I just thought of this minute:

Yes, the first one was just to make a point that a lot of "smart" sounding quotes are jsut a whole lot of BS. It wasn't supposed to be good. =] 

Here's one I made up.

"Life is like a wind that blows in your face, only it isn't behind you when you turn around." 

I like that one. Additionally, I've come up with my own "life's-like" quote yesterday:

"Life is like digging a hole. It starts out wide and optimistic, but by the time you reach the bottom, it's narrow."

And finally, I've uploaded yet another video into my profile, check it out if you will.

I got another one.

"We're not living, we're just dying really slowly" :P 

Here are some abstract metaphorical quotes by me. Take from them what you will.

"Golden Jesus Love Everyone"

"It was the eighteen hundreds: they thought cats eating each other was exciting."

"Learn to spell or go to Hell!"

"I dug him up and... feasted on the soft fillings."

And this one is by my sister, and deals with issues of sexual stereotyping (she was watching me play Final Fantasy XII):

"It's wearing girl's clothes, it looks like a girl and it's talked by a woman, so I assumed it was a girl. "

And this one is by my mother, and is my personal favourite (she hadn't had much sleep when she said it ;)). This one is especially meaningful. Make of it what you will.
