i personaly enjoy being a sniper in any first person shooter even more so in a ww2 shooter. with a rifle or a sniper rifle i feel i have more control with what iam doing, and the extra presure of the thought of the enemy finding you before you can take your first shot adds to the excitement and allows you to injoy what you are doing in a certain level.
Sniping is different in war you see details about the man your aiming at, like if he has a wedding ring and things like that. If your just shooting a silhouette its different than shooting a man who's face you can see, because it feels like your killing a man not just an enemy.
let's just say that my kar98k nonscope is the best weapon for me, and for close quarter, with no choice, luger would be perfect unless i was quite slow to react
I would rather be a sniper because it is nice to know that you are picking up somebody one by one and knowing that they won't see you for a very long time.Anyway I am not a person who takes risk and go on one-man show action. :D
Givin a choice I love the feel of a good shot that is from nowhere and has the feeling it was blessed by God. As for the feel on gets in the gritty feel of up close, death is a bad gift to give your fellows in need of back up. Funnily some of my fondest memories of past LAN games is when some one that is used to only using their main weapon and forgetting they even have a pistol but I don't.
with just a rifle and pistol in hand in CoD2, pistol becomes very important, sometimes life savin weapon incase of emergency, and i saw this idiot runnin around with a pistol in his hand, usin nothin but pistol, and somehow he was able to get good kill to death ratio, i somewhat think it's aimbot, but not completely, or else he would've been kicked but still pistol is a valuable weapon in close range
Only to true. I think it is all to funny to see some guy that has went and blew all of his rifle rounds in five or six shots on BF 1942 and be forced to use his 1911 .45 till he remembers to get a resupply.
snipin all the way!! in carentan, you know that house across the mg 42 which is near a cart? the window faces the mg42 and i snipe from there and the other window, and i can get like 10 to 15 kills from there without bein killed unless massive nade comes in but i choose kar98k unscoped all the way
two shots started world war 1 so a sniper is better but you needed to patient but an mg or gpmg at the right point at the right time could be devastating
I like to run into a group of people with a bazooka pointed at the ground then I fire and wipe out four people including myself! Works in Goldeneye(N64)! AKA the NUBE TUBE!
Hello. I prefer the close quarter as far as we "live" in games with save/load options. Lately with alredy some bigger experience in FPS I have started to get used to grenades and I now I play by wasting loads of grenades (smoke/defrag). Street-combat sounds the most interesting for me fighting house by house. Windows combat > smoke grenade > grenade > reload (never forget, hehe) > assault. Farewell~~!!
Considering the ratio of shots/ kill for WWII ( around 40,000 to 1), sniping would have to be more economical. But snipers do tend to have a short life span (Japanese snipers tying themselves to trees so they wouldn't fall unless dead), so stick me with the mob, unless artillery is making a visit, then stick me in a Spitfire and call me Shirley!
sniping can be fun i think but in ww2 games they tend to be quite inaccurate and don't zoom far enough, for example battefield 1942, the sniper isn't as accurate as in games set int he modern day, but then i suppose they got that right because it take more skill to snipe especially in those days...for ww2 games i prefer close quater guns like the tommy gun or the m1 garand

In "MOHPA" its' essential to swap out your rifle for a *** sniper rifle pretty damn quick ( and a machine gun for rushes). Most WWII games would suck without a sniper rifle. I like how in "SWAT 4" you have 2 snipers which you get to control if they radio they have a perp in view. "First To Fight" lets you call for sniper support, but what they actually do still eludes me. Like the rest of your squad probably bugger all.
