Band Of Brothers Game Ideas

Band Of Brothers for those who have not heard of it is a mini-series which follows a group of Paratroopers through their battles in WW2 as well as show the effects of life on the lines and the so called "Brothership" developed through men fighting side by side for their lives.

It seems like a very good base for a First Person Shooter or something like that.

One good thing is how the episodes seem to focus on a different soldier each time like the Medic, the Sergeant etc. Making for a good variety of levels. Imagine running across the battlefield, bullets whizzing past your head as you follow the call for a Medic from your comrades. I want to feel for the men im fighting with, caring wether they live or die.

Please share your ideas.

Thats a good idea, I like the idea of having "Chapters" where u play in different positions though the game.   Something the developers could keep in mind for the next Brothers in Arms.  Just think..if you worked for a gaming company, ud get payed big bucks for an idea like that...and they would have what you where talking about in big bold letters on the back of the box

Actually both titles are based on the 101st Airborne.

BOB is based on the book by the same name by Stephen Ambrose and follows:

Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th PIR, 101st AB

Brothers in Arms is based on true real life stories from multiple sources and focuses on

Fox Company, 3rd Battalion, 502nd PIR, 101 AB.

The Characters in BIA are a collobration of various real life personalities who served in the 502nd.

 As for a game based on BOB, Why not?. It would be a great idea if implemented I mean take a look at MOH AB or even BIA. THe only thing holding back the idea is getting copy right laws into play and if the real life soldiers would consent to a video game where their actions are portrayed in a virtual reality setting.

They both follow 101st troopers though if you read up on the History of Easy company's Regment you'll find at first it was in neither.

Most WWII FPS with 101st airborne in have some similarities with band of brothers COD being one when you blow up the arty position.
MoH follows more Saving Private Ryan the Sniper character particularly and the beach landings. The nearest that Brothers in arms comes to Band of Brothers is when you Storm Cartean as you fight Fallschirmjäger the same as Band of Brothers and the same place, also the mission were you get the Tanks in the last mission is similar to Band of Brothers
