Even though  it was kinda dispised in real life, I like the M1carbine the best.   Its light accurate more acurate then a sub machine gun, and if ur fast with your fingrs, a real decent rate of fire

Yep.  I spent six years in the U.S. Army's 34th Infantry Division, serving on Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afgahnistan.   I joined when I was 18 but I got out after my time was up.   It was either go to school or go to Iraq, and I had already spent to much time away from home.

Wow I didnt know that. Thats interesting. What are your people doing over there and how many did they send?  I would have gone myself But I really needed to finish college.   If I would of went I would just be getting back This March.  That would mean I would have served 3 1/2 years in 4 combat theaters.  To damn long if you ask me.  im 26 and Im just starting colege right now.   If I went I would have never of caught up and I didnt feel like I wanted to be a career soldier.

I myself think that the war in Iraq is pointless.  I'm interested in hearing your opinion m1rock, since you have actual military experience.

Oh, well anyway, my favorite changes a lot, I would have to say the M1 Carbine to put it realistically, but in video game the M1 Garand.

I agree that the war in Iraq is kind of a waste of time, We need to go back to wars having a purpose for the good of the nation.  We should take the oil and any other resources we can, thats whatwar is meant for and once we do that we should leave and let them settle who is in charge themselves.

"We should take the oil and any other resources we can" U really mean that, crapten, or u just fool around? i would name such doing stealing. war in iraq is pointless, but so is any war. and what do you mean by "go back to wars having a purpose for the good of the nation". i can't see how is any war good. accept for those of course who makes arms and sells them.

Thats exactly what I mean, in the old days when war was a normal thing the whole point was for land, resources or conquest.  Now days everybody is just a bunch of sissies.  Why is the idea of the USA being the so called "bad guy" so bad?  There was a time when that oil would be ours and we could care less what the world thought.  If we are gonna fight a war, I want there to be results in my country not just having my cousin sent to fight for what?  Democracy of a country 70% of Americans can't even find on a map?  No a gain for the nation.  Wars today are just a waste of money, Lets start gaining from them.

"in the old days when war was a normal thing the whole point was for land, resources or conquest." yes, this was the point. but also personal revenge and fight over women... in couple of centuries back monarchs did what they wanted an rarely cared for people. but i still don't think that wars are normal or necessary things. for getting "land, resources or conquest" is invented such thing like trading. If i remember right then even your state Alaska is bought from Russia long time ago. wars are always wasting. wasting of people, money, resources and time. and don't worry, USA already got "bad guy" imago. forcing democracy for nation which don't need/want it, fighting with "terrorist" in Afganistan aso. anyway, i'm a bit glad that "now days everybody is just a bunch of sissies". if there would be more ignorant guys like u no one would know word "peace". there would be chaos and for what? to satisfy your own greed.

In my personal opinion, as a former U.S. soldier, I belive people in the civialized world are too quick to appease the enemy in hopes of avoiding conflict, then to take the difficult action of activly fighting it. Just like the British, French, and Americans did to appease the Germans and Japanese to avoid having to face what they faced with the First World War, it wasnt long until the enemy was on their doorstep. And just like today were people try to force the ideolgy that we must appease the enemy to avoid facing what we we faced in Vietnam. It is a classic example of takeing the easy wrong over the hard right. Like the great General Patton said: "Nobody ever defended anything successfully, there is onyl attack attack and attack some more" This isnt Vietnam were the communist forces just want us to leave their country. The Vietnamese had no will to launch attacks againt the U.S. when we withdrew. I have seen the enemy face to face. They hate us, our country, our religions, our freedoms, and everything we stand for. Not all fighters in Iraq are even Iraqis. They are Al Quida, just like in Afgahnistan, and they will do anything to errode U.S. support, even if it means killing large ammounts of innocent Iraqi civilians, bullying them into giving up their freedoms for the saftey of their lives and families, dressing as Iraqi soldiers and commiting genicide to make it look like the new goverment is doing it, or dressing as Iran soldiers and attacking U.S. outposts to try and drag the U.S. into a war with Iran.  They are using the Iraq people more then anybody in hopes of creating a millitaint state so that they can continue thier war against the west. I dont know what you think, but I would rather keep them tied down over there fighting, then having them sneak in here and killing our innocent civilians who have no chance to defend themselves like on 9/11. Other countries my let the Islamist extreamist movment push them around, but we sure as hell arn't.

i'm from north europe, Estonia if it's says something to you. your "mr President" visited our capital about month ago. because of your paranoid Bush the traffic in our city was "a bit" disturbed. but that's not important. sry, by "your state " i didn't mean that u, crapten, are from alaska. i should have said that "your country's state Alaska". Oregon, Alaska, Texas or South Carolina... this is still same country. U have point m1rock. nothing is black and white and it's important to see forest behind trees. and i understand that no one want fighting in his doorstep, but i think that it's not fair to keep your fightings in others ground. why should iraqis people suffer if usa fight with terrorists? ok, it's complicated and it's hard to me to make my point in foreign language.

as an observer i can't see this situation quite like this. the background is missing. the picture would be complete if it would show the reason why muslims fight and do it as they do. this is perfect propaganda poster for narrow-minded people. i don't argue it is right. but probably the background is missing in reason. like drawer gave sign himself that what is here to see is not everything. just a first seen reflection on water's surface, under which u can't see much.

Thats a good movie.  I agree that if fighting in Iraq keeps our cicvilians safe then we should but I also believe that there should at least be some sort of kick back for the loss of life.  I also agree that this new fangled concept of just sanctioning countries is stupid and a waste of time.  I mean I doubt N. Korea is really that worried if we stop shipping and buying from them but a swift kick in the rear would get their attention.  I'm old fashioned I guess and the way I look at things war is a part of life that can never be taken away no matter how much liberals think world peace is doable.  Thats just my opinion.

cool movie. :D i know that sometimes u can't do nothing else than force your wish with violence. and human race is pathetic because they can't live without violence. i really hate humans. but your ignorance, americans, is sad. i believe u think that war is good thing because your soil and average joe saw your last war in Civil war days and now you are forgot how bad it was. In Pearl Harbor the attack was on military base mainly and in Vietnam u were in foreign land and 9/11 was just one building. as long as there are no war in your doorstep so long u can't understand how good is peace. if u see war terror with your own eyes then u see it's no good. do you know that what u don't want to get yourself don't do for others.

Ive seen war and I still dont understand it.  I cant get how people could do some of the things that I saw them do to each other.  But after seeing that it pisses me off and makes me support the war even more.  It is probly hard to understand becuase I dont think most of you have ever been in my boots.   But there is some bad blood between me and Islamic fundamentalists ideologically whoring almost every 3rd world country trying to get the poor, angry, and uneducated to blow themselves up and kill unarmed people or the people trying to help them for a lie.
