I'm making this the official Wii U ID Exchange thread since it's the first one that popped up.

In order to properly receive Friend Requests, you must first set up your Friend List from the Friends application on the GamePad Home Menu (Press Home > Click Friends on the very left). You must also allow your account to receive Friend Requests. Also, it is better to Friend Request people from Miiverse rather than the Friends List application.

I already added a few people I've met online in Sonic. It was simple, you can even send a message to the person you're adding easily.

Don't forget to go into your friends app and add your recently met players too you all. I've had some luck that way so far :) . It's stupid simple to do and people are actually accepting now since no one has friends on their list. Big difference from trying to add people on the 360 and getting back rude messages.

Added some of you guys. Also for the user to get notified of a friend alert you need to add them through miiverse and they need to have friend requests enabled or else it won't allow you. Otherwise the only way to add friends is if both of you add each others username. I'll be adding everyone here through Miiverse so you guys should get alerts if not then add me. Mine is: BluesDrive
