So i'm sure most of you have seen the interview from comic-con or at least heard a lot of the new facts that have been released pertaining to TM PS3. If not, and just to recap, here they are: 3 main playable characters with a fairly large campaign story type mode for each. 4 characters total but Preacher, driver of Brimstone in Black, is a main character in all the stories, but isnt a driver. (i think that is correct). The other characters are Sweet Tooth, Dollface, and Mr Grimm. Live action cut scenes - they are now doing live action cut scenes for the campaign modes of the 3 characters, but apparently they will be doing heavy modification/art type stylization to the shots so that they dont look cheesy like the TM1 lost footage endings. If you want to see the characters in costume, take a look at the comic-con footage. Showed 1 level that is still in process of being completed, the ever popular Rooftop Battleground. looks pretty sweet thus far. Also showed off a possible level of a long mountain desert type road that looks like it would be pretty good for Nuke mode. There are probably some more facts im missing so anyone else feel free to contribute. I'm just curious on peoples thoughts about this. I really dont like the way the live action cut scenes look so far. i think it will end up being pretty lame, but heres hoping its not. i still dont know if i like the 3/4 character campaign and not having any of the other crazy drivers in Twisted Metal... it just wont feel the same to me. Thoughts?
At first I didn't like the idea of only 3 playable characters. But I trust Jaffe knows what he's doing and will put out an awesome game. I really can't complain about his other games too much, cuz I still play some of them. I guess I just can't wait for the demo, and the game release, to judge the final product. Really looking forward to the game, and finally being able to play an online deathmatch and co-op game online...should be pretty cool. Hopefully all the changes will be for the best and bring something new and fun to the series, and not be a step backwards....
