Now that the game has been announced, what does everyone think of the videos? They definately added some new things. Looks like a great game. Can't wait for the release..

It looks awesome. I am looking forward to Nuke Mode and Team Deathmatch. The new sniper rifle and factions look absolutely sweet (no pun intended.) This is exactly what this union needed.

Ya, now the union has a new game to talk about up to its release. All those modes looked pretty cool. Should add some more depth and value to the game. Interesting that they are naming the game Twisted Metal only. I guess this might be what Jaffe meant when he wanted a new start to the series.

I was genuinely surprised. It looks pretty intense and a lot of fun. So glad the multiplayer can hold up to 16 players. The additions look amazing. I can't wait to see details about 1P.

I am really glad they decided to keep in split screen, playing with my friends and family is a must with Twisted Metal.

Honestly, I'm a little on the bubble about the whole game. It can really be great if we are given the ability to really create our own desirable game modes and rooms. In fact, all I care about is the information regarding the room making features, lobby, microphone communication, and the basic things that come with online games. I really want to know if they will include a bunch of features that allow us to create any type of game mode, basically.

I already got the gist of how the game works and plays and don't feel any different about it because I've played Twisted Metal in the past. As far as I can tell, there's really nothing new about it except the generic stuff.

But the online interface features are what can be fixed entirely from previous TM games:

- Clan Systems have never existed in TM, we always had to edit our own names and stuff to include them. I really hope that this clan system is more than just a roster and such; I want Socom 2 type interface in this game, where we have mailing system and various other based features included, maybe even a clan lobby system too.

- Party system. I'd like to have a party system exist, if possible.

- Room making and lobby system. These are probably the most important aspects to me. I need to have a lot better controls over making my rooms than the previous online TMs offered to me. I'd love to "add" and "remove" respawn elements from Nuke, Deathmatch, and Hunted so that we could play those modes with an LMS (single life) aspect. I'd also love to remove all health functions and create a very hardcore game mode. This is a really important aspect to making this game have tremendous replay value.

- Ranking system isn't a big concern, but I'd like a very fun one.

The rest of the game isn't really that big of a deal to me, as I've played the other TM games and am already aware of the "features" those had and how this game practically has the same ones. Only difference is that this game should have an updated community interface design to it, and depending on how good it is, it could make this game exceptional in every aspect and way. If it isn't, then the game will sometimes be disappointing because you are limited in your options.

we can all hope, but i dont think anything will be done that hasnt been alreqady said and/or submitted.

also, not every game can be perfect. there will always be aspects that pertain to particular gamers, and aspects that push gamers away.

all we can really do is rent it and try it, buy it and trade it, buy it and hate it, or buy it and like it.

those functions may be to your liking, but it might not be to others. some people out there would have settled on a graphics makeover, and now they get that AND more.

as for making your own modes, it will probably allow the basics of number of lives, weapons and health spawn, and maybe even spawn point placement. anything more than that is just putting your hopes up too high. now thats not to say that it won't happen. its just very unlikely.

The online interface is a very important part of games I play these days. I don't commit myself to very many AAA games on release, mostly since I have an expansive backlog of games as it is, so I'm never really without a game to play. Nearly all of the games I get have multiplayer features, since multiplayer truly adds so much value to a game. If anything, I would like to see a lobby system that isn't broken like many games that I've played recently. I want there to be an option to search up games, rather than just doing a quick match search, or searching individual game modes and being put into a lobby automatically. Also, I don't want it to be glitchy, randomly kick you out of the lobby, etc.. Clan and party systems, I don't care much about, as long as it has that simple function. Also if there is the inclusion of a ranking system, make it either a long time to reach the cap, or make it endless, since I know I'm going to be playing a lot of the game. ^.^

lobbies are glitchy because of the server quality. if the servers are crap, then multiplayer for that game in general is also crap. so cross your fingers forgood servers.

on a side note, it also has to do with your internet provider and/or connection speed.
