I wasn't expecting MITB, with the PPV, and I thought I would be okay with that. I think WWE is underestimating how important MITB had become to WWE. It was a guaranteed crowd pleaser and pretty consistent starmaker. Even with WWE's attempts to ruin the match by putting ****ing everyone in it, the match was always a highlight of the show.
MITB added sizzle and this card is severely lacking that.
Waaaaayyyy too many divas. I can hear all the momentum of JoMo and former World Champion Dolph Ziggler coming to a grinding halt. If this card comes to pass, they are the most screwed.
The SD 8-Man's a waste of time. Kane's gonna be face? Whatever.
Edge-Del Rio doesn't do anything for me as a singles match. I was counting on one or two guys getting added to the match. Ziggler and/or Christian should be involved.
Austin as guest ref for Cole-Lawler is nonsensical. We'll see how that would play out. I suppose Swagger and Cole eating Stunners would be something. But I ****ing hate this. Rather make this a tag with Cole and Swagger vs Lawler and, say, JoMo, I guess.
I'm cool with Mysterio-Cody. It doesn't thrill me, but it should be fine and a good match for Cody.
I want to like Bryan-Sheamus, but the women concern.
Miz-Cena is weak and getting weaker.
Orton-Punk is a match I'm looking forward to, but the feud isn't clicking right now.
We'll see. I think this could be an okay Mania as stated. Not going to be the best, but just as unlikely to challenge for the worst either. I think I see a lot of parallels to 18. No element alone has the potential to touch the Hogan-Rock magic, but Taker-HHH and a Rock-Cena confrontation could add up to be memorable enough to pass.
