Well, well, well. Someone better call out Jackov! It was gonna happen sooner or later. But judging WWE's normal decisions, I was predicting later... I wish him the best of luck.

World Wrestling Entertainment announced this afternoon that Orlando Jordan had been released by the company.

There had been some within the company expecting the release as Jordan was scheduled to wrestle Tatanka at this past Tuesday's Smackdown taping in Bakersfield, California but was pulled out of a pre-show meeting and sent from the building by WWE officials.

The word going around at the taping was that Jordan had extremely upset WWE officials, including Vince McMahon, for having an unauthorized person on the road with him and backstage at events.

Jordan, a former United States champion, had been with World Wrestling Entertainment for several years, most notably as JBL's "Chief of Staff." At one point, there had been plans to introduce a bisexual angle with Jordan, also using former TNA star Trinity and a male friend of Jordan's who didn't have a wrestling background. More recently, there had also been talk of moving Jordan over to the new ECW revival, but obviously that is out the window.

I guess that's a plausible reason as any. But it was spread around from within the WWE so I doubt there was any truth within it. I think they were gonna bring the bisexual angle into play but OJ said they word that 'no-one' says to VINCENT KENNEDY McMAHON!. No.

Not a loss for SmackDown! or the company to say the least. Yes, he had potential, but WWE really chucked it down the drain as soon as they made him do jobs in less than a minute.

I can almost guarantee we'll see TNA pick him up shortly.

No. TNA doesn't pick up low-carders with barely any talent.

I would've quit watching anything WWE forever if they'd done that angle.

Well, part of me is sorry to hear that.  OJ had a few solid matches (on Velocity) and seemed like he could have become solid enough.  I felt WWE dropped the ball on his US Title run and then he got the blame and the burial as a result.  However, I'll hardly notice that he's gone, at this point.

Yes they do, they are willing to pick up any former WWE superstar and make them a top star because people know who they are. See Jeff Jarrett, Christian "Cage", Sting, Scott Steiner, Rhyno, etc.

Yet they've picked up the likes of Shannon Moore, Jackie Gayda, and Christy Hemmes? Interesting statement you've pitched up there.

Yeah, but OJ has less name recognition than Christy Hemme.

This is not big loss to the WWE, to say the least.

Honestly, I do not blame WWE for this, at all.

He was given couple of decent chances to get over the fans and he did not... Granted, WWE could have given him better storyline/direction to work with, however, I doubt he would have gotten over with the fans, regardless of that. His in-ring style was "sloppy" and honestly, I do not see why people thought he was underrated... if anything, he was overrated.

There is no doubt, that he has potential, but Orlando Jordan has been added to a long list of WWE Wrestlers, that have been simply misused over the years, the WWE, is hardly using anybody right

Jeff Jarrett partly-created the company, so that doesn't count.
Christian was a mid-carder with great mic skills and decent wrestling. Has OJ even talked on a mic?
Sting was a former main-eventer, same with Steiner.
At least Rhino can be used in gimmick matches pretty well...

And Mena, the knockouts are there because they're hot. They're not gonna wrestle. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think OJ would be used as a knockout.
Shannon Moore is a pretty good point, but at least he was in the x-division. Where would OJ go, the heavyweights? He'd never be taken seriously no matter what he did.

BTW, TNA would've picked up Matt Morgan, Mark Jindrak, Kenzo Suzuki, etc...Just because TNA gets wrestlers that WWE releases doesn't mean they always do it.

Let's not forget (as WWE seemed to) that Rhino was the last ECW Champion and ECW Television Champion.  Rhino was also pretty hot coming off of ECW One Night Stand, where he managed to come off like a superstar amongst the ECW guys who invaded Raw and Smackdown (the pops for his Gores were huge).  He was also recieved very well by the Impact Zone (despite being brought in as a heel lackey to Jarrett).

In many ways, he came off similar to Christian, as a guy WWE had no clue how to use.  Also, when he was allowed to, Rhino stepped up his game.

Actually I think Christian had a better gimmick in WWE than he does now in TNA, it just seemed to fit his personality more and I found him more enjoyable to watch.

I have to agree with that, except for the part in WWE which says that "He can't win a match more than once every other month".

Yeah, I don't disagree, but that wasn't what I meant (I stated similar thoughts about Christian somewhere in my Impact monologue last night).  What I meant was that both Rhino and Christian came off as guys who had potential and skills that were not being tapped in WWE.

I wasn't implying that either was actually being used more effectively in TNA, just that they had the potential to be.
