Did anybody ever see Mark Henry in any World Stongest Man competitions? It makes me think that he isnt the WSM. Oh and does anybody know when he might be comin back?
He was an Olympian weight lifter. While he was extremely strong, he was never actually named the Worlds strongest man in either the olympics or the Strongman competitions.
He did win a competition, but he is nowhere near the world's strongest man, he's not even in the top 10 I think. The world's strongest man gimmick is just that, a gimmick, it doesn't have to be real. Undertaker's called the Deadman, it doesn't actually mean he's dead. You guys take these gimmicks a step too far I think.
Starvinmartin I'm not saying that's impossible or anything... I can bench about 600 pounds using my legs, but 650 using your arms? Unless you're one of those roid abusing Brock Lesnar sized guys I doubt you can do that.
I used to watch those strong man competitions on ESPN frequently around the time he got the gimmick, I never once saw him compete in any of them. My guess is he won a smaller competition and that was good enough for WWE.
