This will most likely be the next PPV I purchase and I'm really looking forward to it. Though it's hard to figure out what the rest of the card will be filled with.

Well, even with only one match announced, this is the most excited I've been for a PPV since ONS II.  I hope this PPV has the same outcome, too.  The Double EC has a ridiculous amount of potential

I'm very hopeful that I'll be there, too.  Can't wait on my buds too much longer.

But, yeah, I think they're going to need more than one match and I'm drawing a blank on what they could be.

My guess is there will be weapons hanging from the cage, or possibly barbed wire would be involved somewhere.

I know there is only 12 responses so far, but when was the last time we had any kind of WWE related pole that was in such favor of actually watching something? I'd have to say ONSII would be my guess.

I was thinking: Could the "Extreme" refer to the way you leave the chamber/lose the match. Instead of being removed when you are pined or submit, could it be once you bleed.

Now I'm sure that doesn't make much since when the average wrestling fan would think about it. However, I wouldn't put that past Vince with a lot of his recent comments regarding ECW and some of the matches.

I'd much rather see weapons or barbed wire thrown in as the "Extreme" factor. I also wouldn't be to let down if they just kept everything basic and it was "Extreme" because the competitors are "Extremists". I wouldn't put that last part past Vince either for the same reasons stated above.

I don't think the 'Extreme' part of the Elimination Chamber has much to do with the actual match as well as most things in ECWWE. But it's probably barbed wire...that won't be used.

I'm thinking the Extreme part of the Chamber is weapons on the side of the Chamber being locked or clipped on, and then the Extremist can use them to their full advantages. I see weapons like maybe, tables, ladders, chairs, barbwire or barbwire 2x4, tacks, and many endless objects you can think of.

Major Spoilers about ECW Title:
http://wrestlingattitude.com/headlines.php?subaction=showfull&id=1162598632&archive=&start_from=&ucat=&

Major Spoiler Concerning ECW World Title

As we all know by now, Big Show will be defending his ECW World Title against five other competitors at the upcoming December To Dismember pay-per-view in an Extreme Elimination Chamber Match. Thus far, Big Show, Rob Van Dam, Sabu and CM Punk (he defeats Knox next week) are scheduled to compete in the match. That leaves two spots open, which will likely go to Test and Hardcore Holly.

As reported earlier, The Big Show has been hurting to say the least. He's had to be taken off several weekend house shows in the past few weeks because he's in so much pain these days. When he does compete, its primarily in tag matches so that he doesn't have to do much. Due to the Big Show's lingering injuries, plans are being made for him to lose the title at December To Dismember.

One person you can count out on winning the title is Rob Van Dam. Vince McMahon is adamant about not giving the title to RVD after his recent drug arrest because he feels he can't count on him anymore. Van Dam is said to be in a major funk because he knows he pretty much ended any chances he had of being the top guy with his drug arrest. So with RVD out of the picture, just who will be awarded the title?

Well, the current plan is for Andrew "Test" Martin to win the ECW Championship at the December To Dismember PPV. WWE is well aware that he isn't their ideal option, but McMahon refuses to give it to RVD. With the exception of perhaps Sabu or Hardcore Holly, there's nobody else that could be a viable option at this point. CM Punk isn't ready for the time being, nor do they want to rush him into the role just yet. So well, the title will likely go to Test.
My Comments on the spoilers:
This is absolute bull. Test in no way deserves the title. RVD does and if not him give it to Sabu or Punk. Punk I know is too early but its still better then Test.
comments about the abover spoiler.
I've seen this else where...but it is down right simple minded to that RVD don't bring in viewers. Remember how Austin walked out a couple times but they brought him back......RVD got busted for speeding, charged for speeding, but just fined for pot. right now RVD is the only guy big enough to have a belt in ECW. I'll believe it when I see it.  This is the second time that this site has said something to that effect and its the only site I've seen saying something to this nature and I still see no evidence to support it.  Apparently, they seem to have some big time inside sources... in Vince's head.

So if it happens, it may be the final straw for me and McMahonland, but I give this site and its news all the credibilty of the sites that reported Kane was going to return with a green outfit during his hiatus in 2002

I am certainly excited about ECW's December to Dismember PPV next month. With one match already in the works, I'll be watching the show for sure whether or not I have to pay to see it on Sky Box Office.

The EEC (Extreme Elimination Chamber) concept fits the brand's theme entirely. The EC match, that debuted at Survivor Series 2002, gave the match type a "got to be great" reputation. That was until the others followed since then, minus New Year's Revolution 2005 which wasn't as bad as the other three to date. Hopefully this EC match will restore my view on the match type and its significance when booked for a PPV.

Okay, I'm going to now break down some notes and factors. It's being called the Extreme Elimination Chamber, emphasising it's more violent than the regular Elimination Chamber match. Does the 'Extreme' just highlight the brand and it's participants being 'Extremists' or will the match be surrounded by weapons as such or new stipulations?

Now onto the participants:
1 - Big Show -- His title reign began on a rough note, especially with his reoccuring title defences to random 'Superstars' each week on ECW. However, I've grown to actually not mind the Big Show's title run since he's currently displaying the best he can. As long as his involvment in this match is at the same level as he is in his matches on ECW each week, and not like his performance in the Punjabi Prison match, he shouldn't terribly ruin the rest of the match.

2 - Rob Van Dam -- MOTM, (Man of the Match). You only need to see his performance in the first EC match in 2002 to not disagree with me on that factor. That match being one of my all-time favourites had RVD play a lot to push it up my top list. The 'Spiderman' jump from the buckle to the chain, rolling thunder over the ropes on top of the steel flooring, the frog splash from the top of the chamber, amongst God knows how many other moments made me mark out incredibly. I was very disappointed to see him eliminated first indeed. Anyway, I have no doubts that RVD will and probably can give me more memories to cherish in this year's EEC.

3 - Sabu -- Really, need I say more? He'll be jumping from the top of each chamber for the hell of it. Heck, God knows what he'll do if he brings a chair inside. I'm thinking of Sabu/Abyss from that barbed wire massacre match but with a lot more metal involved this time.

More onto the participants until they get officially announced, without having to spoil it for anyone who hasn't already read the SPOILERS.

After cooling down from all the excitement involving the EEC, I am getting a tad bit puzzled in regards to the rest of the card. I doubt we'll be seeing the PPV styled like ONS with the revamped brand and all but what I am expecting is quite a few inter-promotional matches involving 'Extremists vs. Superstars'. It's either that or terrible, terrible, terrible booking involving the likes of Khali, Moore, and Thorn.

Oh and boy do I love the wallpaper. I'm so sticking with it till Christmas.

See this is what get's me about this 6th man open invitaional for the Elimination Chamber. It just sounds like laziness from creative.

I mean, who is one person gonna come out to accept it? In reality, there would be every superstar from every brand entering the match, because this is a free, unearned chance to grab a World Title. Genuinely, every single wrestler should come out to want to accept the challenge. They should have just named the competitiors for the match. Not have and open space for anyone.

I think it will come down to 2, 3 or 4 people fighting for the chance on the next ECW.

I was getting worried about that too. But I think this PPV might be able to pull of a descent 90 minutes. As long as the other matches go longer than 46 seconds.

ECW still has Shannon Moore, Davari, Khali, Balls Mahoney(who I haven't seen in a long time), Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, they just got Burke and Turkay, Renee Dupree, FBI, HH, Striker, and Mike Knox.

Meh, they had more people than I thought. I think it boils down to how long the WWE wants the EEC to last. And the build up in the following weeks for all these matches.

I'd be listening real close to ECW possibly getting a second hour the week after, or at least soon, the PPV. Because I'd like to see some kind of Tag Team Tourney for new belts if that was going to happen.

Of course if that does not then I'm starting to get a bit concerned as well. If it ends up being mostly EEC match then I might just not order it at all.

Check out the poll on the DTD page here. It's not as impressive now, but a few hours ago Punk had over 50% of the votes... still, he's got more than RVD and Sabu which is interesting.

I find it unlikely since the PPV is in Georgia which was WCW country back during ECWs heyday.

#1.  ECW did run Georgia back when they were in business.
#2.  I wouldn't overestimate Georgia as "WCW Country" either, even though they were headquartered down here.

However, I'm not expecting much of an ECW style crowd.  The ECW crowd has already been alienated pretty thoroughly by now.  However, I'm hopeful that the crowd will be into the action, since they (we?) are buying tickets to see ECW and not Raw or Smackdown with an ECW taping.

I have no clue. There is ONE more ECW show left before the PPV and there's only one match on the card. Is it going to be a 3-hour Elimination Chamber match or something?

They don't exactly have enough time to build a good feud since the Chamber takes up their entire Tuesday show. It'll mostly be random stuff I think, unless something happens at SS.

Matt & Jeff to be at December to Dismember press conference

Last week on ECW on Sci Fi, the Hardy Boyz reunited for the first time in nearly five years when they defeated the F.B.I. in tag team action.

The popular duo will be together again this Sunday at Survivor Series as part of Team DX. But that won’t be the final time you will see Matt and Jeff together, as it has been announced that the Hardy Boyz will also be at the December to Dismember press conference this Monday in Augusta, Ga.

At this time, the reasoning behind Matt and Jeff’s participation at the press conference is unknown. Be sure to watch the event live on ECW.com and WWE.com this Monday at noon ET to find out.

Well, after much internal and external debate, I finally decided to pass up the opportunity.  I couldn't convince any of my buds to come and I can't pull the trip to Auguasta alone, plus am overloaded with work and I've completely lost confidence in RVD actually winning the belt and WWE in general.  I'm going to regret not going on general priciple, how much is completely dependent on how things play out.

The Hardy Boyz Vs. MNM is not going to be enough to get me interested in this PPV.

I just would like to see like a Extreme Rules match, like The Sandman Vs. Hardcore Holly.

Added a new match, plus the link to watch the D.T.D. Press Conference.

For a two match show, I am bloody excited already. I feel that the EEC will be given a long time-slot lasting between half an hour to one hour, which is good since it'll be bound to have its moments of climax and anti-climax.

As for MNM vs. Hardy Boyz, man, this will be a great contest alright. I have considered it a dream match in the WWE as far as I'm concerned. By the way, does anyone know if this match will be contested under 'Extreme rules' or normal rules? I just want to see ladders used in this one!

New matches announced for D2D at last! ..... and they're not even Velocity quality booking, let alone PPV standard -_-
PWInsider is reporting that The Sandman will be wrestling Hardcore Holly, and Daivari will wrestling Tommy Dreamer at the ECW PPV this Sunday. Those two matches have yet to be officially announced by WWE. That brings the total number of matches to four.

Wow, Sandman vs Holly has all the potential to be the worst match ever.

Dreamer vs Diavari at least has some background and should be all right.

Just put Sandman vs Holly under Extreme Rules so Sandman can use the cane so its at least interesting. Plus maybe Holly will take enough hits to realize he needs some help.

i hope RVD screws Punk and we see a heel turn. i wouldn't doubt that Heyman would rehash the Raven/Punk feud just to get Punk over as a heel since RVD is a known stoner. hell, rehash or not, i would mark out for a heel Punk promo.

I definately think it could work but I don't see it happening at this stage.  Punk has a legit claim at the #2 face in ECW right now in a roster that has very few guys that are (and more importantly, can be) faces.  ECW needs Punk to stay face for the time being.
