As ECW heads to Washington, D.C. this week, the No. 1 Contender for the ECW World Title is still undetermined...but that will all change in the nation's capital.

Last week, Sabu and Kurt Angle squared off for that honor, but the shocking return of Rob Van Dam spoiled the match. RVD interrupted and attacked both men with a chair, making a statement that he is back and hungry for the ECW World Title as well.

As a result, there will be a No. 1 Contender Triple Threat Ladder Match this week to solve the dilemma. Angle, Sabu and Van Dam will all participate, and the winner will go on to face Big Show at SummerSlam for the ECW World Title. Which of these three incredible athletes will head to Boston as the No. 1 Contender?

Also last week, Paul Heyman once again had his personal security force attack Tommy Dreamer, leading to him losing a match against Mike Knox. When Sandman came out to help his fallen friend, he found himself in a Handicap Match against Knox & Test. Will there be another chapter written in the war between Heyman and Dreamer (and possibly now Sandman) in the nation's capital?

Plus, CM Punk thanked the fans last week for the reception he received in the Hammerstein Ballroom. Punk said that it was no longer about the price he paid to get to ECW, but rather the future and what it holds. Tuesday night, it holds his second match on ECW on Sci Fi; who will challenge the straight-edge Extremist this time?

Anyway, I hope WWE lets this match go for at least 20 minutes, because it could easily be TV MOTY.

Well the fact that the show is still crammed in to one hour, leaving each of those matches with less time then they should get.

In all seriousness, the show will most likely end up being the best ECW to date. I don't think that there is anything that will keep me from seeing this show on Tuesday. I believe Sabu will win the match, and i think that he should win and take the title from Show. Give the title back to RVD in about two months.

I don't really care who out of these three guys wins because I like them and they're all awesome so I don't really have much of a problem with that, I just want Big Show to lose the title, for the love of God lose the title. He's soooo bad it annoys me so much.

The best thing is to have Sabu win and finally face Big Show for the ECW title but regardless of the winner its going to be one hell of a match.pepeatumi

I think what ECW is trying to do here is to impress the Sci-Fi channel with high ratings (Even though my dog could even know that) and to prove to them that ECW needs a second hour to push more ECW talent.

ECW Ladder match RVD Vs. Kurt Angle Vs. Sabu.

Sabu should win just for the reason that Kurt Angle (from what I heard) has a pulled groin muscle, they probably can't trust RVD yet, and Sabu wants to face Big Show.

Hell this show is gonna be cramped. Ladder match will get atleast 20 mins, Punk's match will get atleast 5 and Foley/Flair will get something like 10 minutes.keiblerfan69

At least they did a good job incorporating the injury into the story and Heyman's character.

Foley dancing and Flair interupting an idiotic segment, hopefully making it shorter, is not a great way to start a show that was suppose to be "The Best ECW ever".

Unless they're building a Punk/Credible fued, they could have at least found a different guy to job. Also glad to hear both Tazz and Styles call the Vice by its name instead of the lame name WWE Fantasy gave it.

Also, the speed difference between a ROH Punk match and WWE Punk match seemed crazy to me. Maybe it was Credible.

That was a pretty distressing outing for Punk.  Both he and Credible seemed to be off and definately did not click nearly as well as they did two weeks ago.  Outside of the reaction to the kick and the "CM Punk" chant, the crowd was absolutely, distressingly dead for the match. 

Smackdown crowds suck.

Anyone else like it when Sabu didn't talk? For some reason it seems to me he doesn't feel like Sabu after and when he talks.

As for the Ladder Match so far, its decent to good at most. Hopefully the end will be good, though the way Tazz said that Kurt was outside the building make it seem obvious that Kurt will bust in and ruin the match, thus making it a Four Way at Summer Slam.

Everything was rushed and in the ladder match alot of moves were done wrong.
