Eugene is.....Released!

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Smackdown talent Eugene as of September 1. We wish Eugene the best in all future endeavors.

Well, I think I smell a Eugene-TNA deal. And Eugene under a dark, heel gimmick. But I think Eugene firing, or being released, is well a bad/good thing. Don't know why. Anyone miss Eugene?

Yeah he had a crap gimmick but it was how would you put it......."Inspiriational" well look Eugen tries to beat his "uncle" Eric Bischoff has his run with his favourite Wrestler "The Game HHH" and had a great segment with The Rock in San Diego 2004 which was fantastic!

TNA will use Eugene him the way he wants to....not how WWE or how Steph wanted him to be like!

Bad timing with all the suspensions, whos left to actually wrestle? The Divas?

I thought his run in 2004 was enjoyable. If nothing else, it felt unique and therefore, fresh and personally, I thought the guy played his part to good effect. Beyond that --- I think the limitations of the gimmick began to really show. Well, that and the guy being de-pushed after his feud with Triple H probably did not help matters.

Anyhow, regardless of the questionable gimmick, there was solid wrestler under there, and its shame the guy did not have more chance to highlight that feature.

But anyway WWE needed to fire some dumb!$%, so why not Eugene, he had a bad Gimmick but not the worst, he was a Mentaly Challenge Kid.

I can't say much about his in ring work since it was always portrayed as that laughable mentally challanged type. I think his character was plagued by a bad gimmick and it ruined him as a superstar. If he does indeed go to TNA I can only hope for his sake he is given a different gimmick, otherwise I don't see him lasting there either.
