WWE star Jack Swagger was arrested last night in Mississippi, TMZ has learned -- after allegedly committing several traffic offenses. Source close to the situation tell TMZ, Swagger was leaving a "Smackdown" taping at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi when he was pulled over. It's unclear what traffic offenses Swagger is accused of committing ... but they were serious enough to result in an arrest. We're told Swagger -- a former WWE World Heavyweight champ -- was taken in by local sheriff's deputies ... and later released on his own recognizance. We reached out to WWE, who tells TMZ, "Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions."

I know, I'm also disappointed that it has nothing to do with an altercation with an offended fan or a racial attack of some sort.

But really...could you have worse timing, Jack?

You'd think someone who cares about being in WWE would never do anything to put his status in jeopardy. If I were WWE, I'd cut him lose and not risk my chances of possibly having someone who commits crimes representing the World Heavyweight Championship (It's probable that he might win at Wrestlemania).

I was actually interested to see what direction he might be going in, but this will likely make him a jobber for another year.

WWE's Wellness Policy rules:

Any WWE Talent, who is arrested, convicted or who admits to a violation of law relating to use, possession, purchase, sale or distribution of drugs will be in material breach of his/her contract with WWE and subject to immediate dismissal.

I wonder what's going to happen at Wrestlemania then? I think Alberto should have a 'Loser leaves WWE' match against Swagger on Smackdown, in which Swagger loses and goes off on his merry way. Ziggler then cashes in his Money in The Bank contract on Del Rio (Still don't agree on lazy cash-ins, by the way) and goes on to face Jericho at Wrestlemania 29, somehow.

Or perhaps Mark Henry faces Del Rio at Wrestlemania 29, instead. That's where Ziggler could cash in his briefcase, but Ziggler should face Jericho at Wrestlemania in addition to cashing in his Money In The Bank contract.

The only disappointing thing about this is that it didnt happen before Elimination Chamber, that way we could have watched him get jobbed out in the first minute. Oh well he's screwed up now. No doubt he's out of Wrestlemania.

My prediction:

Swagger and Zeb will make some racial comment to Mark Henry.
Mark Henry f*cks Swagger's world up.
Swagger unable to compete at WrestleMania.
Henry takes out any other contenders.
Del Rio vs. Henry for the World Title at 'Mania.
Swagger is never heard from again.

Swagger is done.

Ziggler cashes in. Jericho challenges. Del Rio added.

Triple Threat Excellence.

Didn't even think of a triple threat.

Oddly enough, this intrigues me more than just Ziggler-Jericho, as I'm starting to like Del Rio again.

This is a weird video.

JML897

I watched that this morning. I know that WWE has become a lot more open with breaking kayfabe on documentaries and such, but I never thought I'd see the day where they pretty much had an explanation as to how it's not real on a video posted on WWE's official YouTube.

It's also worth noting that Glenn Beck tweeted something along the lines of "I would attend Monday Night Raw, but I have plans doing about anything else." To this, apparently, there was some board meeting of the writers at midnight last night to rewrite Raw's script.

You know what this means. Glenn Beck comedy. :|

Why does WWE, better yet, anyone, care about what Glenn Beck has to say, anyway?

Listening to that guy gives me a headache. He doesn't even sound like he knows what he is talking about, and is ranting on for the sake of a rant. Let's hope this guy never watches a movie of any kind.

The reason why I don't like Swagger's new gimmick, is the fact that it does nothing for him. Zeb Colter is the one talking, while Jack stands in the background with the attention coming off of him. What Zeb Colter has to say has nothing to do in context towards wrestling as well, which is another reason why it's such a lame gimmick. You look at JBL, who's character came across as someone who hated Eddie Guerrero so much, that he became almost racist and wanting him out of WWE 'that' badly. It made sense, because everything he did was used in context for his characters personal hate for Eddie Guerrero, and the fact that he wanted the Title off Eddie. Swagger has no reason to dislike races, because he has no back-story to building up his reasons for hating different groups of people. Not only this, but his character isn't even doing the talking, someone else is. It makes no sense, and has no context for why it's a gimmick to begin with. That's why I dislike it so much. If he lost to Del Rio multiple times and built up a feud against him, then I could see a story where racism get's built up towards Del Rio and other groups of people.

Is there any chance that WWE turns this situation into part of the angle and Coulter blames Del Rio for planting weed in Swagger's car to try and frame him?

Have you ever seen the movie Network? Glenn Beck is so eerily similar to the crazy pundit in that movie. (The "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore" guy, I forget his name)

Not sure if this was addressed already, but seeing as Swagger most def fighting Del Rio comes to mind what WWE will actually do to Swagger after WM.WWE doesnt let things slide for one bit,and im surprised they didnt cut Swagger already or suspend him.WWE plans on making Swagger lose at Mania and then suspend him after?Just curious as to how this will unfold as I highly doubt Jack gets off easily....

I think he'll get a slap on the wrist at most, especially if his character continues to get a reaction.

Actually, I wouldn't doubt it if Swagger doesn't get punished. All he got arrested for was smoking dope, and drinking and driving, Cameron, one of the dancers for Brodus Clay got a DUI in August and she disappeared for a few weeks. Swagger hasn't been in trouble with the law while he's been with WWE, so I think that WWE should just fine him and that's it. If anything, WWE should use this a legit heat for Swagger leading up to Wrestlemania. It's not exactly PG, but it's edgy enough to keep people interested by breaking the fourth wall.

Not to add fuel to the fire but Swagger,Cameron, and most recently one of The Usos all involved in incidents makes it seem they don't care getting "slapped in the wrist",guarandammmteed if this was The UFC or any other important company they would cut your @$$ in an instant, now of course WWE ain't no UFC or MLB etc,but WWE loses major cred when dealing with this, and this bothers me.Talented people and acting like this, this hurts WWE in the long run.Seems they care more about the Wellness policy but that's another topic...

No, nobody gets cut immediately in the MLB/NBA/NFL/NHL for smoking pot. Depending on the league sometimes they'll be suspended. There's no way an NFL team would cut one of their top guys because of a DUI. If he was a more borderline "barely made the roster" guy then maybe.

While it's not DUI related, I just felt like this was the perfect place to show this mugshot picture. I believe that HBK was arrested for trying to pass off a lion's mane on his head for real hair.
