The Sun UK has an interview up with John Cena where Cena says he is upset with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for turning his back on wrestling.

"He is a genuinely nice guy and a fantastic human being. What I kind of get peeved about, and this is my Achilles heel, is that I've wanted to do this my whole life. Rock falls into that category. At one point he loved wrestling and wanted to do this all his life. So explain to me why he can't come back. Simply put it's because he wants to be an actor and there's nothing wrong with that. He's very good and very successful. Associating with sports entertainment doesn't do much for his acting career. I get it. Just don't f*** me around and tell me that you love this. That's the only thing that gets me really p***ed off. Our fan base have so much admiration for him, he's got to respect that. He doesn't give anything back."

You can hear the full audio interview here.

UPDATE: The Sun has put up the full transcript of the John Cena interview where Cena bashes the Rock. Check out the full transcript here. [PWInsider.com]

Cena would win that match. The guy who is staying almost always goes over.

It's sad that somebody like the Rock would turn his back on his roots to try & be a bigger movie star!

I dont get why everyone says he turn his back unlike sum superstars cough cough"Tirsh, kurt, etc"

he didnt just walk out he earn that oppitunity

I do recall smackdown averaging 6.7 million viewers when he work on the show

not to mention that raw segment"this is your life" snagging 9 million plus

point is rock stir up more buzz than cena ever will, cena probaly has been reading youtube and furom across america because most complain how try be exciting but often expose us to cornball promo's

I remember when the rock wrestle they could start off raw or smackdown with the rock and HHH,stone cold...Etc and fans hyped the whole show

I remember rock getting into street fight with DX when he in the nation creating one beast fued between stable ever watch

ion wrestling

Tell cena if he can become a face..then heel..then face ...heel ...and still get the same loud pop from the crowd then he cansmack talk rock all he wants

dont want to be rude or anything..but dude shut up. Kurt..is still wrestling. So with mentioning Kurt in this argument you lost 10 credibility points. Now as for the Rock..the guy did turn his back on wrestling, before you get me messed up, I don't care, i still watch wrestling..and go to the movies. So its watever. the Rock is a great actor, so props to him. But Cena is right with this argument. Besides all of that you just said...its the reason why the Rock shoud have stayed. But nonetheles..yay for Cena for this point..and yay for the Rock for making a really good decisiion on becomin a hollywood star. I dnt blame the rock, but neither do iblame cena for the argument

LOL ,what people forget is that vince put the rock on to acting with the mummy return gig..why is that never pointed out

2.You call a guy a sellout of us fan...he has a family wrestler's work sum 280+ days a year, family come before anything he want the best for his daughter so like I was saying 3 mill a year........ or 8 mill a movie im pretty sure not to mention spending more time with them.

3.If anyone hasn't notice isnt cena trying captilize on the same journey rock did

rocks callobs with wyclef for a song...cena does an album,if im not mistaking rocky only got a minimal part in his first movie while cena was star of his......cena is doing rocky did in his heyday yet he critize a man for the same bidding he does

you honestly think if cena was making 7 mill a movie he'd bust his a$% in the ring..didnt think so because most guys who stay in bussiness past their prime either do it because it all they know or ddidnt save up during their career

I think some of you are missing Cena's point. Cena isn't angry at The Rock for moving on, but he's angry that The Rock always claims to love the wrestling buisness with a passion, even though he very very rarely pays it any attention.

In any case, I agree with Cena. Its all well and good for The Rock to do movies and the like, but I don't like it when he talks about his love for the industry...it just seems to me like he really doesn't care about the wrestling buisness nowadays (and to be fair he really has no reason to, making millions of movies and whatnot).

The Rock does not owe the business anything, you hear me... anything.

He gave us years-and-years of his blood, sweet and tears, all for the hope of entertaining us, which, as far as I am concerned, he did hell of job doing.

Also, when The Rock did not have to, he never seemed to one who had problem doing the right thing for the business, by helping to put over his fellow superstars, in the name of Triple H, Kurt Angle, Bill Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Booker T, Gregory "Hurricane" Helms, Chris Jericho and Mic Foley. Hell, one time, he even allowed the Big Bossman, of all people, to gain CLEAN victory of him.

For that matter, look at his win/loss record at WrestleMania, and still try to fead me that bull**** line that guy owes this business anything.

In addition, I would say the guy pretty much accomplished most everything there is do in the business by 1999, and yet, the dude continued to wrestle for another few years, with the same, if not stronger level of passion.

Hell, even when the guy did not have to come back in those last years of his career when he was already making movies, he still did, regardless.

For my money, The Rock is the prime example of how person should act in this business, and I find it to be upsetting there are not more people who realize this, because it very much is the truth.

Nothing against John Cena, because I think he is another guy who truly seems to love the business, who is willing to give back, however, if he truly believes that, he has no ****ing clue what the hell he is talking about.

Cuck Fena. Let Dwanye do what he wants, it's his life. Or did John forget that when he signed everything about him as a person over to Vince?

I get annoyed looking back at those who want the Rock to come back. Sure it'd be great, but honestly, what more is there left for him to accomplish? Plus, the Rock said on some TV chat show last week that he gave his thanks to the people he needed to and left it at that. Dwayne doesn't need to do anything for WWE now, he's squared all that off.

yea, he doesn'tt owe us anything but he can atleast make some apperances, once and awhile. If he came back the ratings would go a little bit higher, but i dought because of his movie carrer, which he should of never done.

Well, if you remember correctly (that is, assuming you were watching), he already has...

About year ago, The Rock made appearance on Raw (granted, it was pre-taped), on the titantron, talking about Trump/Lashley-Vince/Umaga feud, rightfully predicting that the now fired Lashley would win in the "Battle of the Billionaires" match.

Also, if you did not hear, Rock will be making appearance at the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame, inducting both his father, Rocky Johnson, and his grandfather, Peter Maivia.

well, i did see that but i meant by wrestling alittle because because i didnt see him wrestle since 2004, and im waiting still. I just want the rock to come back and quit his movie carrer. I''m not saying his movie carrer is bad but i just liked his wwe carrer better. He was great on the mic, funny, and a great wrestler. Also yea like you said he did make some appearances last year for battle of the billionares but he wasn't really there, i wanted him to be in the ring iono why but it would just be cooler. I know he will be at the hall of fame thing, but would you rather see in wrestling or him just talking. It's good to see him again in wwe but he should just come more. I know i repeated a lot things and im sorry.

Speaking from devil's advocate position, most would agree The Rock's stronger strength was with talking, not wrestling.
