John Cena on "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson: "The truth is that Dwayne Johnson is a great actor and I think always wanted to be an actor, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's like an athlete saying, "Hey, I don't do drugs," and then getting busted for drugs. It's not the truth. I mean here's a guy who said he was WWE through and through, and then the first chance to take a road to a different career path, he took it. There's nothing wrong with that. Dwayne's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He's one of the hardest workers you'll ever meet, and he certainly is a great actor. The roadblock that I have, because I certainly am in love with this business and I don't see myself leaving it any time, is when someone says that and then leaves, it cheapens our business. If he's going to say that, then back your word. That's the only beef that I have and that's what I told the people at The U.K. Sun. It just cheapens that phrase: "Oh, I love this business." So then next time I come up and say I love this business, well, the guy before me who said that left. That doesn't look good for me or our business."

He is such a puppet. Vince really is an awful ventriliquist. Like, I can totally see his lips moving.

Also, Cena better love wrestling through and through, because I don't think the studios are going to be calling.

This really is kinda funny because, let's say Rocky takes the bait on it and signs up for a match with Cena somewhere down the line, it sounds like WWE thinks they could get the fans behind Cena as "Mr. Wrestling" and Rocky as the "Sell Out." I can tell you right now, that ain't gonna work. If it were to happen, it would make the crowd at Rock-Goldberg at Backlash look totally pro-Goldberg by comparison. I think it would be comparable to the Wrestlemania 22 Crowd if even less pro-Cena, no matter what the Rock does (its a Catch 22, the crowd'll get behind Rock no matter what, the way I see it).

It would be fun though.

I would not call Cena "puppet," so much as I would a "sheep."

I have to agree with Cena no matter how painful it is for me to say that since I am not a Cena fan. I absolutely despise The Rock.

I think Cena should keep his damn mouth shut. He has no right to even say The Rocks name, let alone judge the guy. He Wrestled, he wanted to try something else. Simple as that.

That's the only beef that I have and that's what I told the people at The U.K. Sun.Link256

Well The Sun readers won't believe it. A fair proportion of sport stories, say, 99.9%, end up to be BS quite frankly. They'll think Cena actually has no issues with The Rock. Only thing they can talk about right is reports of football matches or Formula One races.

On the other hand, the WWE is the only thing they can actually seem to write a fair bit amount and be right with it. In fact, they're the only paper here that covers WWE. And even they rubbish it sometimes (once calling The Undertaker a "walking zombie" that fails to scare the children because of it's oh-so-seeable fakeness - or something along those lines at least, it was nearly 4 years ago that article so...).

When you have Paul Heyman writing articles though, at least then you know you're hearing the opinion of someone who actually cares.

Enough ranting about The Sun now.

I can't blame the Rock for anything. He may still love wrestling to this day but he found a better job for the lifestyle he wants to live. The cchoice between destroying your body and constant travel versus a lighter schedule making more money to do less work and a less taxing schedule. If I were in his shoes I would have gone the same path especially with a family.

Ditto.

And I guess The Rock has seen RAW latley and decided to stay as far away as possible.

And he should.

I really, really doubt The Rock will think twice about this, and thats even if he bothers to read it.

you know i would like to see this happen juust to see the millions of rock fans who wouldmark out over his return even if short lived and only for 3 months max just because there is no way in blue hell could cena possibly get more cheers than the rock and itd be funny to see him try and out pun and try and get more cheers than the rock when quite honestly nobody has as much natural charisma as that man

id like to see the rock come back for a few years yes but e cena feud would be funny just to see cena shamed and hopefully realize he can never ever well 99% likely never ever becom e the all fans love him babyface aka austin or rock or hell HHH can switch from heel to face.

maybe after said pwnage cena will be dropped to mid card or dark matches where he is best at and most entertaining when he is away from the WWE title. cause ill admit during the summer i didnt mind him when he wasnt in the main title picture hes a great mid card guy at best anything more and he gets too much attention and then his suckage comes out.

though at this point im willing to banish him to dark matches for the finisher rename if it was his idea as he claims.

but a rock and this new jericho feud would also be epic.

The fans turned on The Rock during his final WWE Title reign.  People would be behind him now, but when he first went into this acting thing, yikes, the fans really turned their backs on him.

Cena makes good point, but I think this is probably stuff he should keep to himself.  Also remember, Cena is Mr. WWE.  He eats, breaths and sweats WWE.  He is about as loyal as you can get, and its why Vince loves him so much.  So where Rock saw the WWE as an opportunity to become a movie star, I think Cena saw this as more of an opportunity to become the star of a show he loved growing up.Â
