Kurt Angle Leads an Anti-Cena Chant

A a TNA house show, Christian Cage vs Kurt Angle was the main event, and he is what transpired.

Jeremy Borash does a TNA Today promo and says Cage vs. Angle is for the title. Cage tries to heel the crowd and they chant "YOU'RE MY HERO". He tries harder and they chant "INSTANT ****C". Cage says we're rude for interrupting, and that Des Moines is the asscrack of America and no good wrestlers ever came from here. Angle comes out and says "Apparently you forgot Cael Sanderson and Dan Gable. They kick ass! And I'm gonna kick YOUR ass!" Crowd did do a brief "Joe's gonna kill you" chant before this, but he said he'd worry about that Sunday. Cage tells our side up yours after an "over here" chant - then hits an elbow to the throat and gets the crowd behind Angle. A random "F#*K JOHN CENA chant starts out of nowhere. Angle hits Christian with a belly to belly suplex off the top. Angle hits Olympic Slam, but the ref's knocked out. Tomko does run in, but Angle kicks out at 2. Angle reverses the Unprettier into an Ankle lock. Christian taps out for the Angle win. Angle takes the mic and thanks Des Moines. He leads a TNA chant, then a F#*K John Cena chant.

Edit - By the way the ratings they are getting are technically "great for where they are." Unless I am wrong, TNA is literally going up to as much as they can with Spike TV ratings. But correct me if I am wrong. Besides, they're appearntly pursuing a deal with FOX.

If your dumb enough to buy a TNA ticket then your dumb enough to chant something like that, I mean Angle didn't make them chant it, Tna didn't even do it, the crowd gets to drunk before anything can happen, and chant what ever they want.

I agree, TNA crowds are really bland and just annoying. "That was awesome, that was awesome!", I just think that's such a retarded thing to chant, I feel like the TNA crowds are such neanderthals and I couldn't agree more on them being poser ECW crowds (classic ECW fans).

Okay well I am going to play devil's advocate here (I hope i'm using that expression right). What's wrong with dissing other companies? What ever happened to a little competition, and being a little dirty? So what, TNA is being extremely immature by lashing out at a company superior to them. What else can they do? They know WWE is better then them so why not just try to piss people off by chanting stuff like that. I really feel like you can't castigate (I hope I'm using that word right) them for what transpired at that house show, not only can they not control what the crowds say, but honestly it's not thaaaat big a deal. TNA IS approving of this. They are paying Angle a huge salary contract that allows him to get creative control and do whatever he wants, just because he's an established name in wrestling. Just like with Sting. This is like WCW part 2. People like them will stay on top and probably ultimately lead to the demise of the company. If TNA wants to improve, and if Angle wants to help, starting "F*** the better companies world champ" isn't going to help. Because while the TNA fanboys will love this crap, WWE fans like myself who don't approve of TNA's product get even more turned off by it.

In response to what's wrong with TNA bashing WWE is that WWE(as far as ratings, buyrates, and revenue is concerned) is FAR surperior to them. If they want new fans they have to stop this crap. Okay, lets look at the new generation of wrestling fans. They tune into WWE, they like John Cena,because he is of course the biggest draw in the WWE right now. Then they come across TNA on TV one day and decide to check it out and see them bashing Cena, they aren't going to keep watching. This just pisses me off to hear this crap because TNA continously make asses out of themselves with this crap, and this is why they have been stuck in the same spot for the past few years, because they obviously aren't getting any new viewers.

And Angle did not choose to leave the WWE. I can't believe anyone would buy that s*** from his mouth. Just asking here, but do you remember the WWE's "Billionaire Ted" angles from when WCW was destroying WWE in the ratings? With "The Huckster" and "The Nacho Man" as geriatric parodies of Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage? It was basically the WWE doing what TNA is doing right now. It was just as petty, just as pathetic and just as annoying. Hell, didn't even ECW do this type of things, with angles of Steve Austin mocking WCW / WWE? I only vaguely remember the Austin thing, so don't hold me to that, but I vividly remember the suckfest that was the "Billionaire Ted & The Wrassling Warroom" angles, and yes, it was just as bad as anything TNA are doing these days.

That said, yeah, this was still a pretty pathetic display by TNA and Kurt Angle when all is said and done.

After all the WWE did, they gave him Dream Match, Angle v Benoit, Angle v Hogan....well some Dream Match, Angle v Orton, Angle v Micheals, the list goes on. Angle should respect the company, and it would of been funny if he did praise John Cena, the crowd will probably throw something at him.

Also since Wrestlemania 24 is in Orlando, I'm surprised if even 1 TNA Superstar is there. Even if its Angle, then I more surprised if the Crowd Booed him when on Screen, I'll laugh at Angle. Plus probably you will see the TNA roster there. Then......well. I don't know. Probably something will happen, JR might say something of TNA, or not.
