Straight from WWE.com

Copani moves on
Sept. 21, 2005

According to John Laurinaitis, Vice President of Talent Relations for World Wrestling Entertainment, Mark Copani, a.k.a. Muhammad Hassan, and WWE have decided to go their separate ways.

Copani, who was last seen at The Great American Bash in late-July, had nothing but positive remarks about his WWE experience in recent phone interview.

“I have a great appreciation for WWE and the way they treated me,” said Copani. “Everybody took care of me even more than they ever had to. I have a great deal of gratitude for the McMahons, the people in the office and the boys in the locker room. I have absolutely no grievances in the way that everything played out. In fact, the split was very amicable. I just thought that it was in my best interest, as well as WWE’s best interest, for us to go our separate ways.”

With WWE now in his past, Copani is heading to Hollywood to pursue a career in acting. But does that mean WWE fans will never see the former Muhammad Hassan in a wrestling ring again?

“Wrestling is in my back pocket for now,” admitted Copani. “Luckily, the door was left open for a return if that is what I wish to do in the future. And if that’s something I wish to do, I know who to call.”

Wow. Really, this stuns me. I have to feel sorry for the guy. Because WWE creative "crossed the line", he has to suffer.

Don't buy that. He's just doesn't want to burn any bridges with WWE.

He did everything he was asked to do by WWE, he was as over as any heel and he was improving in the ring, and all that came to a screeching halt when WWE just HAD to cross that line of decency one more time. The screwed him over big time and dropped the ball for him and he now suffers for it.

On the bright side, Diavari hasn't been fired... yet.

DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT!!!!

Another great talent, released from OVW/WWE. I was hoping for Hassan to return to RAW on USA, but now my hopes of his return are now shot to little microscopic pieces. :( Thanks a friggin' lot, WWE Creative & UPN (for starting his downfall)!

even if no body liked him(my self included) it was the guy we all loved to hate and it was funny when he came to the ring complaing about injustice due to his Arab background. and any superstars in the ring beat the crap out of him

I knew this day was coming sooner or later, but still shame that to hear Mark Copani a.k.a. Muhammad Hassan was released. The guy had knew how to really get the crowd going on the mic, he was the best heel I have seen in recent memory and he was improving in the ring and showed good potential. But thanks to WWE's need to cross the line of good taste....he suffered for their mistakes and lost his job.

Nice going WWE, you screwed over someone who was doing everying you asked for and was doing a better job of being heel than most of the heels that are currently on the roster.

That is another great talent that WWE has just thrown away, I thought WWE would keep the good wrestlers and fire the bad ones, lol.

BTW this was my 600th post, lol, just thought I'd mention it.

I'm upset that this great talent is release. I guess WWE had no plans for him, and they just decided to release him. If they never plan that attack on The Undertaker, and did that racist, terriost angle, he would've never subjected to be released. I hope he does decide to return, and hope Daivari has something in line to come back.

TNA will probably try to sign him thinking it will get some kind of publicity for having a wrestler who HAD a controversial character in the "Big" federation and would then be wrestling for them.
Hell...they might even try to put him over as a Top Wrestler just to try to throw it in WWE's face

You never know with these crazy Wrestling Federations
