Thanks to 411 reader Mark Satrang for sending this report along!

I just got back from RAW in Sioux City. I was one of the five guys dressed up as the Spirit Squad. We got a lot of heat from kids and marks and others thought it was funny. During the Heat taping we had all 8000 or so people chanting Spirit Squad sucks and booing us. It was a blast.

Dark match:

Harry Smith over Jobber.

Heat:

Heat had Umaga over Jobber. Armando was over at least.

Cade and Murdoch over two jobbers in matching tights.

Kenny beat Snitsky in the Heat main event. Needless to say we were on our feet for that one. The Squad noticed us and seemed amused by it.

After the show DX and the McMahons and Squad went at some more. Then Vince had some witty banter with DX. Then Cena brought Edge back from the hotel and they had a match where HHH reffed. Cena won in a short match and then DX laid out Edge and played to the crowd with Cena. HBK saw us and seemed amused as well.

Crowd was dead for the Highlanders match and Vis-Haas. The Divas got booed pretty good and Miz kept screwing up, maybe he's better when he's not live I guess.

Pops were the usual, most for Cena, Hogan's name, DX and Flair.

Heat went mostly to Edge, Spirit Squad, McMahons, the usuals.

We had a lot of fun overall.

Dark match:
* Harry Smith d. Wavell Starr

The crowd was slow to warm up to this match as they weren't familiar with either man, although as an F4W member both names instantly rang a bell. Wavell played the heel and did a pretty good job of getting heat, beating Harry down whenever he made a comeback and sneering at the crowd. When Harry finally got the upper hand he picked up Starr and ran across the ring - from my vantage point he appeared to get a running jacknife powerbomb for the pin.

WWE Heat:
* Umaga d. local jobber from Sioux City (Ryan?)

Arrrrrrrrmando Alejandrrrrrrrrro Estrrrrrrrrrada was very over and the crowd played sing-along. Estrada cut a promo on the jobber, asking him questions like "You look pretty good, have you been working out?" Before he could answer Estrada would pull the mic away and say "I didn't think so!" Eventually the match started and Umaga was not nearly as popular as Estrada, the crowd booed him lustily. Typical finish with Estrada holding up the cigar and snapping it and Umaga nailing his opponent with the Asiatic Spike.

* Murdoch & Cade d. Preston James & Scott Commodity

James and Commodity work the local circuit and have a pretty polished gimmick, down to matching blue tights with lightning bolts around the waist. Cade & Murdoch tried to heel it up but it's hard not to like them just for being a couple of big ugly goofs. Their finisher involved a running clothesline over the back of the partner kneeling down in the ring to trip the opponent into a cradled pinfall - and done right it looks pretty nasty.

* Kenny Doane d. Gene Snitsky

Believe it or not Gene Snitsky works babyface now. Then again nobody likes the Spirit Squad - well except for the five guys in Sioux City who dressed up as cheerleaders in matching green outfits. The entire front row at ringside was wearing DX shirts and there was a running gag between them all night that whenever their pro Squad chants got loud they'd all turn around in unison and yell "We've got two words for yahhhh, SUCK IT!" Anyway I was out getting a snack but came back just in time for some comedy spots before Kenny finished him with a top rope leg drop. Needless to say the whole Squad got involved in one way or another.

Post-Raw Dark Match:
* Cena d. Edge (DX special guests, Hunter as ref)

This match was set up earlier in the evening during an Unlimited promo, where Cena came back into Edge's hotel room during the commercial break and said "Sorry Edge, I forgot we've got some unfinished business! Lita, we'll be back in an hour," and dragged Edge outside. DX was still in the ring celebrating after the show went off the air, having just throw "Vince's trash" (all of the Spirit Squad) out of the ring so he could "take that with him." Vince came back out and cut an enraged promo demanding they leave immediately, to which DX informed him that from the look of things this was THEIR ring, not his. They took an "informal poll" as to who should leave, and of course they booed the idea of DX leaving and wildly cheered for Vince to depart. The post-show celebration was broken up by the arrival of Cena and Edge coming down the ramp and Cena throwing him into the ring. Hunter grabbed a ref shirt from ringside and jumped in to officiate while Shawn Michaels stood on top of an announce table (probably Edge's) and watched with a smirk on his face. Whenever Edge had a chance at a pinfall Hunter would count exceedingly slow, and he would goad Edge into getting in his face so Cena could take advantage and wallop him. It was your basic feel good post show send-the-crowd-home-happy comedy match, with Edge taking a beating and Cena getting the pinfall to a very enthusiastic reaction (he was very over most of the night with only scattered boos and Cena sucks chants). Afterwards HBK jumped in the ring and jumped onto a startled Cena with a hug, smiling and celebrating while playfully imitating all of Cena's gimmicks. He didn't do this just once, more like 2-3 times in a row. Hunter ditched the ref shirt and the faces made a gradual exit, playing to the fans and celebrating. Eventually Edge got up, threw a tantrum in the ring like Christian used to do back in the day, but smiled smugly as he was announced as "STILL THE WWE CHAMPION, EDGE!" before skulking away to the back.

Yeah...its online show, instead of television show. Also, Velocity was replaced by ECW on Sci-Fi.

nice match. i was at smackdown when they came to norfolk va (the place where the great american bash was held at in 2004). no one could see me because i was in the back in row o. they had a fatal 4 way (undertaker, mark henry, kurt angle, and randy orton) after the tag team match (angle and undertaker vs henry and mnm).

I'm skipping Heat, as usual. Nothing worthy to watch on that show, unless Shelton Benjamin is on. I just wish Velcoity was never cancel.
