With just two nights away, WWE will be hosting the 22nd annual WrestleMania spectacular live on PPV on April 2nd 2006 from Chicago, Illinois. The main card is pretty much finalised but I wouldn't count out another match or so being announced within the next two days or so.

So the question is, will you be watching 'Mania this Sunday? Is it worth buying or not?

Please don't just respond in quite a bland manner (i.e. No...or...Yes). Expand on your views where necessary.

I'm still not sure if I'm going to get this or not, 50 bucks is alot of money to spend on something that I'm only going to see once. I could just spend 30 dollars and buy the DVD when it comes out or not waste the money at all.

I would say yes, it's worth buying (unless you're saving up to buy Oblivion.:P). Even though the card doesn't look strong on paper, the same thing was said last year and WM 21 ended being pretty good, plus I think this card looks stronger then WM 21 did.

Yes, mainly because me and my friends are all going to my friends house to watch it.We are all paying for 10 dollars. (There are 5 guys) Also, the TV is a high-def, and its freakign huge, so it should be awesome.

The combo of me being short on cash, me having 3 quizes Monday, and the fact that my parents banned PPVs because of my brother pretending he was HBK and Sweet Chin Music-ed my little cousin, is telling me no. Unless I can go to my friend's house and we split the cost, I won't be seeing it.

Not a damn chance.  I may pick up the DVD, down the line, but there is no way I'm giving WWE $50 bucks for this extrement.

Part of me hopes this PPV flops huge so that maybe the McMahon family (extended family included, HHH) will get the hell off my TV.  However, the other part of me knows that should the PPV flop huge, the people most responsible will not be the ones to suffer.

For those of you who order, I really hope WWE gives you your money's worth.

Yep, I'll be ordering like I do every year, Its £15 over here which is like 25$ - 30$ for you guys. But 50$ is a lot of money, and I can't blame some of you for not ordering.

I will be.

I just refuse to believe that the show will be as demeaned as a lot of people feel it will be. It's WrestleMania. Regardless of some craptacular booking made for the show, who knows what will spring up during the show?

I'm pretty much looking forward to every match up apart from the "Playboy Pillow Fight", Boogeyman/Booker (and Sharmell), along with Taker/Henry.

I was just watching McMahon/Hogan from WM19 and I'm really starting to believe McMahon/Michaels can top off that match which may I add was quite unbelievable. Regardless of it being a wasted opportunity or not, I guess there's a tiny bit of me looking forward to this match.

The only interest I have in regards with Hunter/Cena is a) crowd reaction, b) possible heel/face turns, and c) the possibility of Cena actually wrestling.

The rest of the show may look terrible on paper but I am going to predict it'll be a solid event on the whole. I can guarantee we'll see a lot of "WrestleMania Moments" during the show, in particularly in MITB II, Edge/Foley, Masters/Carlito (< he's going to shine at WM22), and Angle/Mysterio/Orton.

I agree. This years wrestlemania only interests me to watch edge vs foley and the triple threat match for the whc. 2 matches isnt worth buying the whole ppv for a rip off price.

Yes I will. Despite some poor booking (and build), this is afterall, WRESTLEMANIA, and I shall not miss this event. Also, while I expect the event to be disappointing, overall, I see several situation that could turn out to be entertaining... and "big time."

Here my thoughts on the top 5 hyped matches of the card:

  • Angle-Orton-Mysterio: While I have been disappointed with the build for the feud... I think the match itself should be great. Angle-Mysterio matches have always been great and Randy Orton should add fresh element to mix... should be MOTN.
  • Cena-HHH: My expections for the match itself are about the okay range. However, the crowd reactions by themselves should provide some entertainment. On side note, if Cena were to pick up his game level in the ring, such as he did with Edge earlier in the year on Raw, and Triple H were on his A-game...  I feel that the match itself could great.
  • MITB: This one is certainly should be interesting... First of all, I think its rather obvious raw superstar shall win the match, right? Anyhow, with the likes of Benjamin, RVD and Matt in the match... the match should provide some great spots and some good amount of entertainment. I do not expect this MOTN material, but certainly should great match to the card.
  • Foley-Edge: My expections for this match are high (not amazingly high, but rather high in comparsion to most of the card), seeing how the build-up for this match has been great... and both of these men have experience in this kind of enivorment... I will be really disappointed if this one is anything short of great. However, I think this match will live up to the hype... and could very well be MOTN.
  • McMahon-Michaels. Personally, while I am certainly not fan of this feud... or of the owner himself, Vince Mcahon (to say the least), I think this match could be very good... or could be crap, for that matter. Michaels is clearly awesome worker... and Vince has shown in the past that he knows how to put on show. However, the quality certainly go the other way, seeing how Vince is old and seems to be prone to injury, *looks at Royal Rumble 05* and likely hood of run-ins (and storyline elements) could kill the match. Personally, I think this match could either way in matters of quality.

Anyhow, my point is this... while the event could be lousy, it could be good... or possibly great... I am not sure. What I am sure of this... this is WRESTLEMANIA... and I am going to miss it.

On side note, I am watching the event with my dad, older brother and 2 little brothers at my house. On another note, much like the Royal Rumble 2006, I expect to be the only 'Cena-hater' in the room.... my 12 year old brother is huge mark for him.

Sweet. How much did the tickets cost? How far are you away from the ring?

Looking forward to reading about your experience. If you take a camera, post up some photos if you can too.
