Will Cena be cooled off?
August 1, 2005

Thanks to some help from special guest referee Chris Jericho, Carlito defeated WWE Champion John Cena on RAW in a non-title match last week. With the win, Carlito earned himself a rematch with Cena, but this time the WWE Championship will be on the line. RAW GM Eric Bischoff said it was the beginning of the end for Cena last week. Will Bischoff get his way and have a new WWE Champion crowned? Will it be Carlito facing Chris Jericho at SummerSlam instead of Cena? All of these questions will be answered Monday night on RAW.

Plus, last week Eugene made a shocking return to RAW and participated in the Angle Invitational. The lovable Superstar accomplished what no one had been able to do on either SmackDown! or RAW over the last year – he defeated Angle to win his Olympic Gold Medal. Now that he has conquered the Angle Invitational, the new Olympic Gold Medalist will be hosting the Eugene Invitational. Be sure to tune in to RAW for this one.

Leyla won immunity by winning the Hot Dog Eating Contest last week on RAW. As a result, she can not be voted out of the RAW Diva Search this coming week. But Kristal, Summer, Elisabeth, and Ashley are still vulnerable to the vote. Next week, the Diva hopefuls will participate in the Queen of the Mountain contest. the only thing that can save this raw is if shelton has a match againt jericho or punk shows up.

i am really excited about the latter. i hope he's not in a dark match or part of the eugene invitational.

I expect the Eugene Invitational to be humorus and decent enough.

I reallly hope Shawn quits playing both sides of good/bad and makes a full jump to heel.

At least they are having a high profile title match on Raw. Its been a while since that's happened, and I expect Bischoff to "stack the deck" against Cena and have Cena "overcome all the obstacles" to retain. They have decided to redo 1998, with Cena playing the poor man's Steve Austin, Bischoff as Mr. McMahon-lite, and Carlito as the random heel. Anywho, its better than another battle of the bands or another poorly written Cena interview. Also, Edge probably won't be wrestling Kane for the first time since Wrestlemania, it seems and I can't wait for Matt Hardy to do the exact same run in again :roll:. Hopefully, they'll start using Hardy in a way thats not lame. The Diva Search will allow me to test my theory of FX being "All-Die Hard all the Time channel" as I guarantee I won't be watching that. And also, maybe CM Punk will get the debut he deserves... but probably not.

As has become my slogan for WWE these days, I'm going to hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

well in some cases, you dont realize what u have till you lose it. HHH is gone right now, and i hated him when he was there, now i want him back. If you watch the tribute, your views on HHH may change, or not, mine did. but anyway, This Cena Vs Carlito will have Y2J and everyone interfere, then HHH returns, and hes about to hit Cena as everyone is holding him so he cant move, then instead he starts punching out everyone else, and picks up Cena and lifts his hand. I bet hes gonna want the title, and turn heel, or Cena will turn heel, but i seriosly doubt HHH will stay Face for long

• Brock Lesner's return
• Joining of the roster's
• Unification of the belts
• Or that the SS main event will be an EC (Okay, this isn't very likely, but i still want to see it happen)

I thought of something, it could be do something do with the RDS for this week ONLY. Remember, last year where he had the Divas punch the Coach's nuts, if it is something do with the Divas, I will be very upset.

To update on Vince McMahon's "major announcement" tonight - it's likely to involve Brock Lesnar and his role at WWE SummerSlam 2005.

As previously reported, Chris "Tatanka" Chavis is backstage at RAW right now. The only speculation heard right now is that the company were looking for a Native American character as the show is emanating from the Mohegan Sun Casino.

Here is what you all thought this afternoon regarding Vince McMahon's big announcement tonight on RAW. If you were to ask me personally, I would tell you it's one of three things.... #1, Brock Lesnar is signed back to WWF, basically slapping the NFL in the face. Or #2, the move from Spike TV back to RAW's 'home' of USA or #3, RAW beating Gun Smoke. Today is the anniversary.. We shall see.

UPN won't allow the Muhammed Hassan and Daivari characters, so they've been kicked off SmackDown! To save WWE the trouble of re-packaging them, they could be sent back to RAW. Why? Because Spike TV (and eventually USA) has no problem with the characters. This would lead to a 2-for-2 trade, sending Edge and Lita to SmackDown! How would this make sense? Edge won the Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania 21, giving him the opportunity to wrestle for the World Heavyweight Championship until the night of WrestleMania 22. That belt is on SmackDown!, so it makes perfect sense. But before they go, Edge has his last RAW match, facing Matt Hardy in an un-sanctioned hardcore match at SummerSlam.

Rob Schneider, star of Deuce Bigalow 2, will serve as special official for the Queen of the Mountain competition tonight on RAW.

For those who have queried with regards to the "Queen Of The Mountain" competition, its reported that it will feature the contestants battling with pugel sticks while standing on top of pedestals (ala American Gladiators), with the Diva getting knocked off losing.

Also Scheduled for tonight's Raw is John Cena taking on Carlito, Vince McMahon's ‘major announcement', and the first ever Eugene invitational.
