RAW, hell, the WWE in general is going downhill fast. I mean, we always say this, but with the way they ended 2006, and are starting 2007 is pittiful.

K-Fed
Ok, maybe WWE didn't learn from WCW's past mistake, David Arquette. Yea, WWE is about Sports Entertainment, but my god, come on. K-Fed is the worst thing you can bring anywhere. I would have rather seen Cena face a box of bloody tampon monsters.

Granted, the WWE did build it up somewhat in a good manner, K-fed still sucks, and Cena sucks even more-so than that. Johnny Nitro, Melina, and K-Fed...All I need to say on this one.

ECW
We all were super excited for ECW to make a come back. Hell, the first month was accually good. RVD had the belt, the ECW originals didn't job off, and we still had some extreme rules matches. Now, we have this trash filled hour of nothingness but WWE stars getting put over by the originals.

RVD is partly to blame for all of this. His drug bust is one of the main reasons Big Show got the belt in the first place. Vince was leiniet by letting him come back so soon, and even giving him some more title shots. Then, we come to see Lashley poke his over-grown head into the whole situation, and accually walk away with the damn belt. RVD gets to face him again, and will probably lose, again.

The only good thing I see on ECW right now is CM Punk and Kevin Fertig. Maybe they can save ECW...or not.

Eddie
Not even going into it. Let the man rest in peice. They seemed to have let it slow down a bit, but now they have a "woman-beating" angle which is just as bad.

Comedy
Yea, I liked the bit with Cryme Time and the racist, and I even giggled a bit at the Bush segment. But my god, what the heck was Vince thinking when he hired those two lame-ass comedians to portray Donald and Rosie? Who was laughing? Vince? Yea, maybe until he heard the VKM and TNA chants. Then he even had "Boring" chants, and his mood changed. Maybe Vince will learn from this.

No, wait. We are his customers, he knows what we want. "Next week on RAW, see Osama Bin Laden turn himself in!!!!!" WTF...Vince, you're not funny. You're old, and you need to pass the tourch to Shane... not HHH.

DX
Well, I think this was WWE's attempt to bring back the attitude era. What a failure that was. The first few weeks were okay, but the constant "buy DX" crap, the lame attempts to be funny, and the overall attitude they had, thinking they were the greatest, didn't do a damn thing for me. Wow, week in, week out, 5-2 matches where the killed the SS, and other tag teams alike! Way to put yourselves over, and kill the tag division at the same time.

DX died out 4 or 5 years ago, let it stay dead, damnit.

End rant.

What are your thoughts or opinions on these matters, or what matters do you think are helping kill the WWE at the time being?

We get a few good matchs every so often. Hardy/Nitro ladder match was good. Not amazing but for a free tv match is was quite good.

Meh I think it's decline began around 2003 to be honest..it stopped being consistently good in 2003 whereas 2004 and 05 had good shows now and again, dotted around the year IMO.

agreed.

the only highlights i can remember from 2003-2006 is:

1) Deputy Austin; Mick Foley

2) Rock vs. Austin WM 19

3) Randy Orton: Legend Killer

4) HBK vs. Y2J

5) Benoit Title Run

6) ROH namedrop

7) Lita's breasts

8) Edge

9) Shelton vs. HHH or HBK

10) Kurt Angle

11) Jericho & Christian

that is honestly it, and the first half is basicly angles leading into WM 19 or matches from WM 19

RAW hasn't been consistently good since the summer of 2002 when the crappy NWO angle was the focus of show, Austin walked out, Jeff Hardy copped out,  Brock, Benoit, and Eddie were moved to Smackdown, and people were botching spots left and right like there was no tomorrow. Despite all of this, the show was still watchable. That all changed during the Summer of 2005 when the IC title was buried once and for all, Carlito was made into a one dimensional prop, Jericho & Angle were fed to Cena in carbon copy feuds, the Hardy/Edge feud was flushed down the toilet, and Masters was pushed. It would only get worse once the fans turned on Cena and HBK/Mcmahon feud started.

I can agree with the NWO crap that was given but regardless of that, I liked how in 2002, the WHC was actually being defended against different wrestlers and not consistent best of three fueds like Chavo/Benoit, Cena/Edge, Orton/Taker etc. And that when one lost the title, that it did mean something. Booker T & Goldust winning the TAG Titles for instance. Plus, the Brand extension still had some heat to it and so kept some original angles going. I dunno, I guess it's how each individual feels. But yeah, 2005 and 2006 were lack luster and 2007 doesn't look anymore hopeful.

But I can't get out of the back of my mind that a reason why 2005 and 2006 sucked is because I've been in the IWC since then. :?
