(Thanks to www.eddicts.com for the banner!)

On November 13th, 2005, the world saw the departure of a gifted wrestler, entertainer, father, and husband, Eduardo Gory Guerrero Lianes, known to us the fans as Eddie Guerrero. His death deeply saddened me and shook the wrestling world instantaneously. It hit me hard and I'll never forget the Sunday I logged on to WWE.com to find the news headlined in such a way.

One year on has passed today and I'd like to say R.I.P Eddie.

In this thread, commemorate Eddie Guerrero's death by contributing with a message, tribute, graphic, or simply through a discussion about the man and his legacy that remains.

Feel free to check out his WWE.com profile in the Hall of Fame section here to watch tribute videos, testimonials, and see photos of the late, great Eddie Guerrero.

WOW, one year already?! How have time gone by. I can still remember his last wrestling match against Mr. Kennedy. The man that has always brought laughter into the building and into the audience worldwide. I will always remember him forever. One of my favorite moment was the Eddie Guerrero/The Rock promo prior to their match that night. It was one of the most intense, and funniest promo, I heard from both guys. It was around July of 2002.

After a year and he is still being used in story lines. He is still missed but we seriously need to let him rest in peace. Peace being the key word.

And not in a good way either, the day they let him rest in peace is the day I am in a grave, and I don't plan on going to my final resting place anytime soon

R.I.P. Eddie

Business as usual in WWE I guess. I mean, I haven't seen him in the RAW promo this week so that's quite odd for WWE.

Dean Malenko remembers his dearest friend Eddie Guerrero

On the morning of November 13, 2005 I awoke around 7:00 a.m. at the Marriott in downtown Minneapolis. I was headed to the Target Center for RAW and SmackDown. Following the shows that evening, the plans were to leave for Europe with the SmackDown brand. As I was preparing to head to the building with the other producers, I was met by Dave Finlay. Judging by the look on his face, I knew instantly that something was wrong. He proceeded to tell me of Eddie’s passing. At that moment my world stopped for what felt like a lifetime. The feeling was eerily reminiscent of my father’s passing in September of 1994. Until then, I hadn’t felt such a tragic loss as the day Eddie left us.

It’s an indescribable feeling to lose someone you’ve shared so much of your life with through the years. It’s hard to express ones feelings when they lose a loved one. I loved Eddie Guerrero very much. Eddie was part of my “road family” along with Chris Benoit for the past 15 years. I can honestly say I have spent more time with both Eddie and Chris than with my own family. On the road you form a bond of trust with each other, and with Eddie -- I would have trusted him with my life. As friends we shared milestone moments together, from him being part of my wedding to the birth of our children. We were bonded by our passion for the business and the fact that we were both second generation wrestlers. Eddie and I depended on each other through all the trials and tribulations of being on the road for so many years.

It seems unfathomable that the anniversary of his death is upon us. I have truly missed my friend along with the rest of the world. Throughout his career and personal life, Eddie touched numerous people. His smile and outgoing personality was contagious. I am certain he would have been proud to see his wife Vickie keeping the Guerrero name alive in the business. To this day, there isn’t an arena I enter that I don’t hear his name or feel his presence. I am truly blessed to have shared my life with someone like Eddie.

Your friend forever,
Dean Malenko

You have summed up my feelings exactly, but then again I'm sure everyone feels that way. Unfortunately it does not look like he will be taken out of a storyline for a long time.

I really can not believe that it has been one year since his passing already. Eddie was a great man, and I don't think there will ever be a doubt about that. Some of my fondest wrestling, in ring and mic, moments were courtesy of Eddie and I will always appreciate him for that.

I still remember the day it happened. Unfortunately for me I had to find out through IGN on that day. I was simply looking at some info on the 06 version of SvR when I stumbled upon a message on their board saying how Eddie died. At first I was like what? Is this guy serious? But I just had to check. Once I went over to wwe.com I found out the truth and it just took me by surprise. The night before I saw his last match (SmackDown! was pre-empted to Saturday that week) and I just couldn't believe it. R.I.P. Eddie.

Wow. It's scary thinking it's been a year already. I remember being told by a guy I knew from another wrestling board that Eddie Guerrero had died. I didn't believe it, and then I saw it on WWE.com...and I was stunned. It's a a real shame he died so young. Eddie was a great wrestler, but more importantly a great person, who had overcome so much. I am still upset that Eddie is no longer around doing what he love - entertaining the fans. The fact you will STILL hear his name chanted at events shows how much Eddie meant to us. The shows still seem empty without the fun-loving, an entertaining Eddie Guerrero around...but as Dean Malenko said, his presence is still there. I will never forget the memories I had watching Eddie Guerrero in the WWE. I remember how happy I was when he finally had won the WWE Championship in 2004.

R.I.P. Eddie Guerrero. Viva la Raza.

He was truly a gifted wrestler/performer. I met him after a house show at a restaurant and said hi and got his autograph. He was really nice and had a smile on the whole time. I'm so lucky to have met him in person and talked to him and get his autograph in person. Rest in Peace my friend.... Rest in Peace Eddie Guerrero.

I remember when I first heard, my brother was on the computer (he doesn't like or know anything about wrestling) and he said "Who's Eddie Guerrero?" and I said "He's a WWE wrestler, why?" then he said "Because he died" and I thought he was playing a prank on me by picking a random wrestlers name and saying they died... unfortunately I was wrong.

Eddie is one of the greatest wrestlers to ever grace a ring anywhere. He was simply amazing in the ring and on the mic, he was the complete package. Even after his death hes being used to draw (although in a bad manner) which just goes to show how great he really was. Thanks for it all Eddie... RIP.

The wrestling industry is still feeling the impact of the loss of Eddie Guerrero, just goes to show how much of a loved wrestler and guy in general he was.

R.I.P. Eddie Guerrero
