-- As things stand now, Rey Mysterio is scheduled to make his return at this Tuesday's SmackDown tapings in Fresno, CA. He was happy with how the test run on his knee during the Mexico tour two weeks ago went. His cardio wasn't up to snuff yet, but he figured with two more weeks of training he'd be ready to return to the ring full-time. Rey asked to work a program with Chavo Guerrero. It makes sense because Chavo is the one who put him out of action in the storyline when he used chair shot after chair shot to his knee. That made him quit and have surgery according to the storyline. In reality, he'd been needing the knee surgery for quite some time.

-- Mexico is now the primary choice for expanding a new territory full-time. There was a meeting on the possible expansion a few weeks ago and Mexico has taken over from the U.K. as being the targeted first international WWE brand. The belief is that Mexico would be better because they would have an endless supply of good talent that would likely work cheap. Also, transportation is cheap and there are several different markets a Mexican group could springboard into. They would also be looking at getting exclusive arena contracts to lock out the AAA promotion. They can't lock out CMLL anywhere because CMLL owns its key arenas. Talks between WWE and Real Quality Wrestling owner Len Davies, who had been the point guy for the U.K. territory, have cooled down. Nothing has happened as of late and Davies is worried. He is hoping that WWE doesn't drop their previous plans.

-- There has been a philosophy change with SmackDown. McMahon wants to book SmackDown more like Raw, which means more angles and less wrestling. The reason behind this is due to the recent losses of Edge, London, Kendrick, Booker, Kennedy and Benoit, the belief is that they don't have the talent depth to do the show the old way even with Finlay, Rey and Matt Hardy there. McMahon has been changing the shows the past two weeks to lead to the new philosophy

So I guess Smackdown isn't the wrestling show anymore. Rey and Chavo had some good matches last year so this should be a good feud.

Vince McMohan may have lost it.

Instead of, gee, I dunno, getting some main eventers from Raw (I'm sure getting one or two of them won't hurt Raw too bad) or even push some mid carders/draft and push some midcarders from Raw, he decides to take the easy way and do the whole, 'more angles, less action' thing.

Vinny Mac really is starting to kill wrestling for me these days.

Im feelin' ya on that one my friend. WWE is going down the tube as of late with all thats been going on and the not so smart choices made backstage.

As for the rey thing, its cool hes gonna be comming back with the angle on Chavo. Truly does make sense to have him back and feuding with chavo. I honestly thought he was going to have a lil promo or segment at the american bash but heh...Smackdowns not bad either .

If nothing else, you gotta give WWE credit where credit is due. On rare occasions, not only does appear as if they will to have attention span lasting longer than 3-4 months, also, at the same time, they are going to show little bit continuity.

Plus, not as if Rey has better options to explore. For that matter, not as if he really any options, at all. I mean, really, who else is there - Khali, Henry or Masters? While Chavo is not exactly be idealistic candiate, at the very least, as they have done in the past, the duo should offer for some decent matches, where as the options I mentioned would likely result in about the exact opposite.

Hmm...WWE has been doing more angles and less wrestling for years. If you want "wrestling" then go watch TNA.

Oh, and agnles aren't bad at all. What would the attitude era be without it's classic angles and promos? Not exactly saying that what they're doing with SD is good because current angles in WWE aren't as good as older angles. Also, you can't just push anyone. You have to wait until they are ready or groomed enough for the job. Don't pretend like you know what's going on backstage, or you know how to book a show when you don't. You don't know anything but what the WWE shows you on TV.

TNA for wrestling? TNA is cruel and unusual punishment.

Booking a show shouldn't be that hard anyway. All we have are Generic, I want your belt! NO you can't have it, where the champion always retains
